For all you non dry Jan lot, we’re kicking off this year’s ‘Wine of the Month’ with a medium bodied, easy drinking French white. Vermentino is a popular grape along the Mediterranean coast of France, Sardinia and Northern Italy. Domaine St. Hilaire’s Vermentino is harvested at night and fermented at a low temperature to preserve the maximum freshness and fruit flavour. We hope you come in and try some and love it as much as we do!

Festival of Jazz part 4 @ excellar wine cafe kingston. 29th nov 2024. Reviewing our own show seems a bit strange, but I want to mark the card. Last night we had Pete Roth, Stefan Redtenbacher (funk maestro), Anatoliy Vyacheslavov & Gabor Dornyei play my favourite jazz show we have hosted so far. Some high tempo and, at times, funky music, was totally loved by the audience and it really looked like the guys were having fun playing. When I left uni a fair few years ago, in my heart I wanted to host live jazz in an archway somewhere in the streets of London. Last night was it. A year after opening excellar wine cafe Kingston, my dream of 30 odd years ago was emphatically realised. So great to have both Pete and Stefan playing and curating the music. Talented guys, with a passable sense of humour, who know some amazing jazz artists. Persuading the special guests to come and play in our humble space, these 2 have been great in helping to get London’s newest jazz venue up and running. To date Simon Allen, Simon Bates, Sid Gauld, Brian Greene, Stuart Roberts, Sebastian de Krom, Bill Bruford, Mike Pratt, Anatoliy Vyacheslavov & Gabor Dornyei, with Mike Sturgis & Paul Jordanous to come on 13th Dec. Pretty good for year 1. As thoughts turn to 2025, we fully intend to build on this an offer more shows in the heart of Kingston. In the meantime enjoy a bit of funk from Stefan
