We promised we’d bring some heavy hitters for this special occasion, and this certainly counts as one of them 😳🔥😱

How does a 1989 Mortlach sound for a truly special holiday dram? We thought this refill bourbon hogshead would be a splendid cask to bottle in time for the festive period. But it certainly isn’t a typical meaty Mortlach!

Ripe honeydew melon, candied grapefruit, peach schnapps, cardamom, cocoa powder, and orange blossom with a distinct and stunning minerality throughout. Complex, fruit-driven, and elegant but with serious character, this 33-year-old Mortlach lives up to the billing.

What a treat! 🥃
