Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral will take place on Monday, September 19 and will be marked as a national bank holiday after King Charles III decreed the event.

The day will see many major shops and businesses across the UK close their doors and reduce hours as a mark of respect for the longest-reigning monarch.

Many of the smaller, local, convenience stores will remain open throughout the day, as such, we would like to inform our customers that DAY 1 LOCAL EXPRESS will be open from 8am through to 8pm.

It is with great sadness that we join with the nation in mourning the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
