We at the shop would like to delicately and politely assure our customers and neighbours that, with no political affiliations, the shop will not be hosting any secret political meetings, rallies or fan meet-and-greets.

In the run-up to the election, it is of course possible, even likely, that politicians and/or their teams may wish to chat to people out and about in the village. This may happen outside the shop. But the shop is not involved and certainly doesn't endorse a particular party or candidate.

If any political visitors wish to pop in and do a spot of shopping, perhaps visit the café, we will of course be delighted😉

Not everyone is a fan of the seagull. They steal ice creams, knock kids over, poo on everything... I get it. But I love 'em, and after all, they feature in any Devon summer☀️

These particular gulls are fragrant, quiet and delicious, not to mention available in the café right now. They won't nick your chips, either...

Mmmmmmarshmallow mermaid scones 🧜‍♀️... Scrummy! A fluffy scone filled with milk chocolate chips and vanilla marshmallows, drizzled with dark chocolate (not marmite, which is what the helpful volunteers might suggest😆) and sprinkled with Cornish sea salt. Lovely stuff.
