We’re delighted to offer again this year some fantastic wine boxes, especially selected with the festive season in mind – perfect for entertaining or to make a great gift. We’ve two boxes to choose from, and they will be available for collection from the shop mid December, date will be confirmed very soon. Please place your orders by Monday 2nd December.

Every Wednesday we now have Bake@theShop when a few volunteers bake some delicious cakes to sell in the shop on Thursdays. If you want to try some you’ll need to be quick- they’ve been selling out fast! And if you’d like to join the baking team get in touch.

Exciting local event coming soon!

We have some great artist and makers coming along to our Abbey Alive event on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th November, to help showcase and celebrate the Treasures of Blanchland.

You can find out more about the traditional skills used in Blanchland Abbey and even have a little go yourself.

Saturday:
AHN Artisan Furniture Maker (also on Sunday), Megan Barnett Stained Glass Artist & Conservator, Kate Hunter Pewter Embossing, Chris Bowen Calligrapher.

Sunday:
Jenny Hammond Stained Glass Artist, Louise Goult Textile Artist and AHN Artisan Furniture Maker.

There will also be live music, heritage interpretation, archaeology finds and an opportunity to share your thoughts on the next stage of the project.

Don't forget it's also Blanchland Artisan Christmas Makers Market - with lots of talented maker stalls and tasty food!

Wondering about wine for Christmas? Join Louise on Saturday 23rd November at 7.30pm in the Commemoration Hall for a festive winetasting. Only £20 per person which includes all wines plus nibbles. Book your place by emailing [email protected]

Christmas wine boxes will be available to order from the shop - perfect for gifting or for your own celebrations. There will be a 5% discount on all wine boxes purchased in December.

We were thrilled to receive a huge donation of food this week from Slaley First School’s harvest collection. It will go West Northumberland Food Bank. A huge thank you to the children (and their parents!), it will make a real difference to people in need.
