Veramonte Chardonnay
What do you get when you combine a beautiful sunny Mediterranean climate with one of the most isolated countries in the world? Chile, a wine maker’s paradise. Veramonte very much believe in preserving this paradise and are whollycommitted to sustainability so their wines are all organic and vegan. Their Chardonnay is beautifully elegant, with a lovely crisp acidity, hints of green apple and supple, delicate oak. Goes really well with chicken, or just as an aperitif. £12.65

Beronia Crianza from Rioja in Spain
In Spain the traditional Easter celebration dish is roast lamb, and the perfect wine match for it is a Rioja. Beronia Crianza is aged for 12 months in oak barrel then for another 12 in bottle before it’s released for sale, and the resulting wine is silky smooth, with vibrant red berry fruit, rosemary & thyme and soft vanilla notes. £10.95

Quinta do Noval LBV Port from Portugal
This Late Bottled Vintage Port is made from premium quality grapes from Noval’s own vineyards in the Douro Valley in northern Portugal. Think tons of plush red fruit, blackberry and a hint of to***co. Great with those indulgent, dark chocolate Easter eggs! £19.75

A Very Special Slaley Shop Christmas Wine Tasting

Slaley Commemoration Hall Friday 1st December at 7.30pm

Slaley Community Shop can supply all your Christmas wine needs! We'll again be offering a choice of special wine boxes featuring superb wines that we don't normally stock. Before you order, you can taste a range of them, along with some nibbles. We’re all missing Helen, but we have Louise, our other local wine expert hosting a tutored tasting of a range of fabulous wines in the Commemoration Hall. Please could we ask you to book in advance, at a bargain price of £20 which includes all wines and tons of nibbles.

Pay on the evening, but do let us know in advance if you’re able to make it, for numbers.
