Owned by the same family since the French Revolution, Antoine Moueix produces a truly excellent Saint-Émilion Grand Cru from the estate's three hectares of vines led by the legendary winemaker Chrystel Meunier.
The commune of Saint-Hippolyte is on the southern slopes of the Saint-Émilion limestone plateau providing optimal temperature conditions for grape maturity.
The grapes were hand-harvested on 10th and 11th October 2014 and after careful fermentation were aged in French oak for 14 to 16 months.
This Grand Cru has concentrated aromas of dark fruit, spice, tobacco and wood. Full- bodied and with a rich palate it shows complex notes of cherries, plums and blackberries with underlying vanilla, spice, cedar and cigar box. Sweet liquorice and creamy tannins makes this the most delightful of wines.
