We have claimed their highest ever position in Harpers Wine and Spirit Magazine’s annual review of independent wine merchants.

Last week Harper’s announced its Top 50 Indies for 2025, and we were thrilled to see our ranking jump to 11th place in this year’s chart. This is our best position yet and puts us just outside the top ten, which is fantastic recognition for all involved.

Judges consider a diverse selection of independent wine merchants equally and on their individual merit, making a placement on the list an achievement to be coveted and commended.

To celebrate, we’re offering 10% off any 12-bottle mixed wine case and 5% off any 6-bottle mixed wine case until Sunday 2nd March. Simply enter ‘HARPERS5’ or ‘HARPERS10’ when you checkout online or quote the codes at the till point in our stores.

If you want to cut back on alcohol without losing out on the gin taste you love. If you want to create an award-winning, low-alcohol stir, you only need a drop of gin, pour your 2.5ml measure of Smidgin over ice using the copper measure that comes with the bottle, add 200ml of Indian Tonic Water and garnish with a twist of orange zest. Just a 2.5ml serve of Smidgin. You get a full-flavoured, real gin experience for just 0.6% ABV, which is just 0.1 unit of alcohol.

A real speciality from Champagne Mandois.
Both of these wines are made the same way with the identical amount of ageing and sugar. However, due to the different sites, you wouldn’t be able to tell they were vinified the same way! These Champagnes are small production with a limited number of bottles of both Nord and Sud, making these twin packs somewhat special!

Le Nord - This wine from the north really shows the minerality from the chalk soils the grapes are grown on. It is fresh and precise, expressing notes of crunchy apple and pear. There’s no doubting that this is Champagne at its purest.

Le Sud - This wine from the south is super fun whilst still being a little grown up. Ripe and fleshy tropical fruits like pineapple, mandarin and passionfruit rounded off with a touch of flint and hazelnuts. Champagne with a buzz!
