Can you believe it?!? 10 years ago this month we sold our FIRST EVER bag of jerky on our website 🤯

We are currently recruiting for a Food Production Assistant (one full time and one part time position) to help with daily work in the preparing, processing and packaging of our award-winning artisan meat snacks. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

- Cutting, trimming/butchering meats and making sauces
- Placing marinated meat slices onto trays to be put into dehydrator machines
- Packing the jerky
- Label packaging (best before dates)
- Help in the quality control process and monitoring CCP's
-Maintaining cleanliness
- Completing records
- Help with picking and packing orders

We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic person who has a passion for food to join our team in the heart of Bermondsey, along the beer mile and behind Maltby Street Food Market.

You will learn all about preparing and making meat snacks using some of the best ingredients available in Britain.

Billy Franks is a multi-award winning producer with high end stockists such as Whole Foods Market, Ocado, Selfridges, BrewDog, Amazon, Sourced Market and many more.

We have featured in several newspapers, magazines and catered for prestigious events and renowned sportspersons and celebrities over the last few years with our much-loved jerky snacks.

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-Food/Hygiene level 2 - Desirable
- Excellent attendance and dependability
- Attention to detail
- Ability to comprehend inventory counting
- Good math skills; count and record without transposing numbers
- Ability to communicate professionally with people
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Impeccable hygiene

Experience and Education:

- Catering/Kitchen experience desired but not essential
- Food/Hygiene level 2 desired but not essential
- HACCP knowledge preferred but not essential

Personality

- Quick learner
- Able to work in shifts
- Good communications skills
- Good at solving problems should they arise
- Ability to work alone or part of a team
- Reliable
- Works well to deadlines
