We thought we’d have an excuse to pose for a family photo! We are a local family run independent Spar store, we are not owned by Spar. Ray and Lynn Calnon opened the store in 1986, Peter and Simone took over in 2003 and it’s currently run by Chris, Pete and Simone, in the process of handing over to the third generation. Recently we had the lovely family addition of a potential fourth generation - we’re training him early! The photo is of Ray, Pete, Chris and Arthur

Due to the expansion of taking Evri parcels along with our Post Office we have to prioritise storage space. To that end we have decided to no longer offer Dry Cleaning as a service. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause customers.

Customer Apreciation day - Saturday 19th Oct

Thank you to all our staff and customers for your patience during our refit. Everything should be completed by this Friday (18th October). Our final thing will be a new coffee machine which is due to be installed on Friday. As a massive thankyou we will be having a customer appreciation day on Saturday (19th October) when customers can get a free hot drink, all day, with any purchase!

We’ve had quite a week with our refit, but we are fully open and we’ve had our chilled order now - filling our lovely new chillers. There will be more of the cosmetic side of our refit next week, but we are nearly home and dry! Thank you so much to all our staff and customers for your patience and understanding.

Thank you so much for your patience during our closure. As you can see, replacing all of our chillers is not an easy job! We will be back up and running tomorrow morning at 7am. Our refit however will still be ongoing!

CUSTOMER NOTICE

We are having a refit of our store, which includes new fridges. Due to this we will be closing our store at 7pm on Sunday 6th October until 7am on Wednesday 9th October. Our refit will be continuing but we look forward to seeing you all when we reopen. We apologise for any inconvenience.
