We have been asked to be the drop off point for shower gels, soaps , shampoo , lotions etc to support our local NHS staff . In the combat of Carona virus . These do not have to be full bottles , all will help our NHS . It is a privilege to be asked to help out , in addition to this South Witham village shop . Also have a treat box be nice just to show some appreciation Not only for our Doctors and Nurses but also local care homes . The treat box will consist of sweets,chocolate ,biscuits , etc and will be given to willowbrook house staff & Rutland care home

Home made Cake & butchers delivery will be in today try the pies steak & Stilton ,chicken & mushroom, minced beef & onion , turkey and ham , steak . All delicious 😋
Cakes usually delivered by 10 a.m
Butcher delivery around 4 pm
Sorry for the delay in the main delivery wholesalers are struggling to keep up with demand , it should be in today , but lots of items missing ! However toilet rolls are on .

LIMITED OPENING HOURS AT VILLAGE SHOP
From TOMORROW Wednesday 25th March !
After discussions with staff & listening to regular customers concerns. we have decided to open shop on the following hours .
Morning hours 7.a.m- 11 a.m
CLOSE from 11 a.m — 4 p.m in order for us to sanitise
RE-OPENING IN The AFTERNOON
4 p.m - 7 p.m
We have decided to take these measures after discussions with staff . Our STAFFS health & safety is paramount & OUR priority! We already have 2 members of staff that fall in the vulnerable category ! And Gordon himself is self isolating. So all though we are opening ! This is subject to change ! We now have a hand wash station at the door and ask ALL customers please use before entering the shop . Also any one feeling unwell with coughs ,colds .sore throats . Please stay home and Do NOT visit the shop .

On government advice , for customers to use contactless pay wherever possible. If not please use hand sanitizer on counter before and after handling cash !
Thank you ALL for the support and we will continue to operate to normal shop hours for as long as we can !! For as long as we can get the stock in . Could I please ask that you’re courteous to our shop assistants , had incident this morning regarding milk , it is not our staffs fault that we are not getting our usual deliveries and that it is arriving later than usual . It is not acceptable to get agitated with the staff , both Gordon and myself are travelling to wholesalers to try and meet our customers demands as best we can . We now have milk and bread in . Sorry still unable to buy paracetamol, Calpol , flour ! But we will keep trying .
