Think you know wine? On Friday we held our Off The Beaten Track tasting event, which was a real hoot. I took the labels off to try and encourage guessing and really tasting with no preconceptions of what to expect. Off the beaten track wines are my favourite category, and we're starting to see a lot more come into store. I'll be doing more blind tastings in future as the interactions and sharing of ideas was great, maybe theyll even be some prizes ;) What tastings would you to see in the future?

Ah! Finally, the sunshine!
Celebrate with these outstanding garden classics. Vinho Verde is a region in Portugal which produces wines typically characterised by their fresh, fruity and lighter, easier drinking nature. Perfect for sitting in the garden and watching nature do it's beautiful thing. Mythral, named in homage to both the "Dragon Of Provence", a folklore myth in the region, and the Le Mistral, the wind that carries from Bordeaux to the north down through Provence and out towards the coast, which plays a big part in helping to influence the climate and produce the highest quality of grapes. Both stunners. Both cheaper than they usually are. Worth a look-see I reckon :)

Moving swiftly on we have the Josh Cellars Pinot Noir on a fantastic offer, the chosen by Majestic Merlot, the Vik A Cab Sav which has been a customer favourite for YEARS! On the whites we have Pietraia Pecorino for something different, Patureaux Pouilly Fume which I think is brilliant, and currently in the clearance. To finish off we have the South African orange wine (aptly named 'Oranje') Viognier for something super different.
