SHOP ASSISTANT
This role is for someone who is flexible, reliable, hard working to serve Post Office and village shop customers. Must be willing to work on weekends. Must have experience of cash handling, ability to work independently. 16 to 20 hours with extra hours when required.
Skills:
Polite and helpful when communicating with customers.
Ability to use numbers and handle cash accurately and confidently.
Able to learn the till and PO system (full training will be provided).
Able to learn about the different services and forms that customers might ask about.
Demonstrate good product knowledge to customers on key promotions and offers.
Able to promote these services.
Capable of working under minimum supervision and also as a member of a team.
Able to work well under pressure at busy times.
Previous experience working on a till / bank / PO would be useful.
Carry out stock replenishment, ensuring all store cleaning duties and schedules are followed
Reporting to the Sub-postmaster and business owner
DBS mandatory on successful appointment.
Must be 18 or over due to nature of business
