It’s that time again, 3 new Vault City for your delight and delectation. A Lemon Ice Tea Table Sour coming in at 3.4%, a Blueberry & Tayberry Session Sour at 4.8% and Chocolate & Honeycomb (remind you of anything?) Imperial STOUT - yes, you read that right, a STOUT - at a quite frankly ridiculous 15%

All sounding pretty tasty this time round, so come get some before they all disappear to staff. 🍻

Just in case you didn’t spot these in our stories last night, we just got the latest batch of Holy Goats in for your delight and delectation.

Crypt Witch is a barrel aged Flanders Red with sour cherries and honey, Rondo Vines is a beer/wine hybrid, aged in grape skins for that natty funk, Shipwreck Stout - a collaboration with Epochal - is a recreation of a beer found in bottles rescued from a shipwreck in the Clyde(!), and last but by no means least there’s their 180 Shilling Ale, a 12% Barleywine brewed with Newbarns.

In our ever so humble opinion their beers just keep getting better, so treat yourself to one or two seeing as it’s payday.

Happy Birthday to Polly’s, 7 beers for 7 years! In celebration they have done collaborations with some big names and some new faces, there’s:

A passionfruit & lime sour with Pastore, a West Coaster with Duration, an IPA with Spookton, a White IPA with Thornbridge, a DIPA with Sureshot, a TIPA with Pomona Island and an Impy Stout with Lost Cause. Choose your favourite or collect the set, they’re all on the shelf and the website NOW.

If you’re needing to stock up on some fresh beer before we close for the day tomorrow then we have LOTS of fresh new options for you. Our Scottish section is in rude health, with the latest Overtone IPA ‘Gimme Some’ and the full complement of Mains’ range.

English beer has also had a nice refresh with 3 new Baron, 3 new Rivington and 4 new Pastore (including a couple of lesser seen styles from them).

Aaaaaaaaand for the dark beer lovers there’s a new collaboration between Kees and Emperors, no prizes for guessing that it’s a big Impy Stout.

For those asking, the dog in our previous PSA isn’t just an image that we nabbed from the ‘net, that’s Ronnie Barker, Oor David’s daft dug enjoying a rather stiff breeze a while back. Just in case you didn’t see that one, we’ll mention once again that we will be closed tomorrow due to the severe weather warnings and back open again on Saturday morning at 10AM.

Getting back into the swing of things with the first beer delivery of the week, in the shape of: a barrel aged cherry (and pomegranate) beer from Otherworld - which puts us in mind of that ‘drunk octopus wants to fight’ graffiti - alongside a bunch of fresh IPAs from Verdant and Polly’s.

Tasty treats all round, with more to come in the next few days.

It’s… Thursday, at a best guess, we’re not entirely sure when it comes to this time of year and we just received a nice drop of sours (and a couple of stouts for good measure) both silly and serious.

Holy Goat hit us with ‘Spectral Lore’, their Framboise style sour with Tayberries in place of Rasps, ‘Riddle Of Oak III’, the latest version of their barrel aged Flanders, this time aged in Calvados barrels 🤤 and ‘Double Chocolate Orange Stout’ which does exactly what you would expect with a name like that. Never expected to see that classic stocking stuffer made spooky, and yet here we are.

Vault City are back with their latest batch of sours and ‘homages’ to some ancient Scottish (and American) favourites. That Caramel Wafer Stout is calling our name, but there’s all sorts of other daftness too, in quite limited quantities, so you know what to do.
