📢 A massive 57% of smokers think va**ng is just as bad or worse for you than smoking 📢
That’s according to recent findings from Dr Sarah Jackson and co at University College London.
In fact, just 27% of smokers think va**ng is less harmful than smoking.
Dr Sarah Jackson told the BBC News “The risks of va**ng are much lower than the risks of smoking – and this isn’t being communicated to people.
This misperception is a health risk in and of itself, as it may discourage smokers from substantially reducing their harm by switching to e-ci******es.”
At VPZ, it is our mission to provide high-quality, well-researched smoking cessation services to as many smokers as possible.
We find it incredibly concerning that misinformation and misconceptions could cost smokers’ their lives.
The impact on one’s health switching from smoking to va**ng is well-documented.
For instance, in 2015, Public Health England stated that va**ng was at least 95% less harmful than smoking.
In 2022, King’s College London conducted the largest review of its kind, and found va**ng instead of smoking substantially reduces exposure to toxins that are associated with cancer, lung disease, and heart disease.
These are just two of many studies that highlight the significant positive impact switching from smoking to va**ng can have.
It is imperative that smokers have the correct information to make informed decisions.
