Staff WANTED

Due to retirement we are looking for store staff. Part time hours.

Must be willing to work over a range of days and shifts and be happy to cover holiday and sickness.

Opening and closing the store will be part of the job role.

Organising newspaper and magazines for delivery and return will be part of the job role.

Suitable for anyone over 18 years due to alcohol licence conditions.

Store is open 6am-10pm everyday except Christmas day.

We are a friendly, busy store in Low Fell.

Full training will be given.

Being friendly, helpful and polite is an absolute must.

We are a busy Newsagent/Convenience store on Durham Road, Low Fell. We offer newspapers, the largest newspaper home delivery service in the area, to***co, Lottery, parcel collections, returns, general convenience foods, soft drinks, cards, stationery, seasonal goods, we are a Paypoint outlet and we have an alcohol licence.

We have openings for a new friendly person to join our team. Experience is not necessarily required but use of Paypoint and some knowledge of shop work would be advantageous with a positive, helpful attitude a must. You also need to be over 18 years old due to our alcohol licence conditions.

The hours available cover a range of slots. Our store is open from 6am until 10pm everyday so we are looking to have both early and late shifts covered. We are also looking for flexibility when holiday cover is needed.

Our shop is a well-known name that has been trading since the early 1900’s with many of our customers shopping with us through generations.

This bloke came in and asked for 2x£10 for a £20, he was given the 2x£10 (watch him put them up this sleeve), and then say he did not receive them and ask for two more 2x£10. What type of crime is this?. Name and shame, private message us if you prefer. Please share the hell out of this.

Its that time of year again, we are currently looking for Paper Boys/Girls/Adults (positions open to all age groups) for morning deliveries with various routes and days over Monday to Sunday with the possibility of other rounds becoming available. Wages start at £20 per week. Applicants must be 13 years or older and be reliable. We would like to wish Diane a very happy and long retirement! Diane has worked for Socketts for 20 years making sure customers have had their newspapers delivered amongst many other duties.
