Bottled by Gordan & MacPhail as part of the Macallan Speymalt series, this exceptional Single Malt was laid down in a single refill American hogshead in 1997. Patiently maturing for 27 years, it was bottled at cask strength in 2024.

The Macallan 26 Year Old 1998 1st Fill Sherry Hogshead #21603913, from Gordon & MacPhail's esteemed Speymalt collection, was distilled in 1998 and matured in a first-fill sherry hogshead, resulting in a limited outturn of just 316 bottles. Bottled at a robust 52.8% cask strength, it showcases Gordon & MacPhail's 125-year legacy of matching spirit to oak with exceptional precision, offering a rare glimpse into the profound depth of Macallan single malt.

Tasting Note:
Nose: Aromas of rich dark fruits, with hints of dried raisins and figs, followed by subtle notes of oak and spice.
Palate: A symphony of flavours including stewed fruits, caramel, and a touch of nutmeg. The palate is layered with a velvety texture, leading to a warm and lingering finish.
Finish: Long and satisfying, with a balance of sweetness and spice, leaving a memorable impression

The Macallan 18 Year Old 2006 1st Fill Sherry Butt #9620, from Gordon & MacPhail's esteemed Speymalt collection, was distilled in 2006 and matured in a first-fill sherry butt, resulting in a limited outturn of just 585 bottles. Bottled at a robust 61.3% cask strength, it showcases Gordon & MacPhail's 125-year legacy of matching spirit to oak with exceptional precision, offering a rare glimpse into the rich character of Macallan single malt.

Tasting Note
Stewed berry and fig aromas with orange peel. Creamy cocoa powder, rich hazelnut and toasted oak flavours, with a hint of walnut on the finish.

Roll up, roll up for the fourth instalment in The Macallan's limited annual Harmony Collection! Vibrant Oak reflects the influence of sherry-seasoned casks on The Macallan's signature style, having matured in a combo of first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak and refill sherry casks.

The whisky was created in collaboration with Cirque du Soleil, and the packaging features characters from its SPIRIT experience which premiered at The Macallan Estate in early 2024. Not only that, the outer packaging and label are made from repurposed oak chippings, leftover as a by-product in the cask making process, pretty neat.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose

Intense vanilla bean accompanied by sweet sherbet and lime zest gives way to fragrant pears nestled in delicate vanilla sponge cake.

Palate

Creamy vanilla panna cotta, buttery shortbread, lightly toasted coconut with almond brittle, apple and sweet oak.

Finish

medium, sweet with lingering vanilla.

Glenmorangie X is a fab single malt from the legendary distillery in the Highlands which has been designed specifically for mixing! If whisky cocktails are your thing, this expression ought to be perfect for you. It does particularly well with the likes of elderflower cordial, sparkling apple juice, ginger beer, tonic water, cola... There are many possibilities here, and all are delicious!

Tasting Note

Nose

Honeyed malt with underlying lemon and apple, plus a touch of nutmeg bringing oaky warmth.

Palate

Lots of vanilla and apricot notes, with more apple coming along too. A hint of flaked almond later on.

Finish

The honeyed orchard fruit theme continues on the finish, with a pinch of peppercorn.

From Harris to Hollywood, it's always good to share some island spirit.

So, we were proud to see our beautiful bottles included in the much coveted Golden Globe 'million dollar' gift bags at last Sunday's glamorous award ceremony.

Other offerings of flights to see the Northern Lights in Finland, yacht charters through the Coral Triangle in Indonesia, and ultra rare vintages of Liber Pater wines were also found alongside.

Congratulations to all the winners and our thanks to the lovely people at Robb Report and Falconer Agency for helping to take a little bit of Tarbert to the industry's topmost talent.
