U'Luvka is a Polish vodka that is possibly the most awarded in the world, with over 70 international awards to its name.
It is made with a rye, barley, oats and wheat derived spirit and is double distilled. Inspired by a legendary vodka created by Sendivogius, a famous alchemist at the court of King Sigismund Ill of Poland in the late 16th century.
Smooth and delicate, U'Luvka shows subtle and weirdly pleasing hints of rubber underlay on the nose. Smooth, rounded and clean. Very slightly sweet with hints of aniseed and salted butter.

Nose
Raisins and sultanas drenched in rum, candied orange peel, mince pie filling, fragrant wafts of ginger and cinnamon.
Palate
Clearly Christmas pudding inspired, with authentic notes of brown sugar, nutmeg, dried fruit, and a subtle buttery hint of vanilla. Layers of honey, citrus, and a smidge of tangy tropical fruit develop underneath.

The single malt selected for this special release was distilled in 2006 and initially matured in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks stored in Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses. Afterward, the single malt was expertly blended and further matured in Pedro Ximénez Sherry quarter casks from Andalucía, Spain, which added distinct flavours, enriching the complexity of the Glencadam Single Malt.
Bottled at a robust 46% alc/vol, maintaining its natural colour and avoiding chill filtration, this limited release consists of only 4,188 bottles, each bearing its individual number.
Tasting Note by Glencadam:
Nose: Indulgent aromas of sticky toffee pudding, black cherries, salted caramel and maple syrup mingled with dark berry fruits and cocoa powder.
Palate: Rich layers of Black Forest gateaux, blackcurrant liquorice, cappuccino and crème caramel married with dates, prunes and sweet spices.
Finish: Chocolate cherry liqueurs, frangipane tarts and golden raisins fading into espresso coffee and cosy cake spices.

Don Papa Rum Baroko is a rum-based spirit that does not originate from the Caribbean, as is often the case with rum. No, Don Papa is conquering the world from its homeland: the Philippines.
Don Papa Rum Baroko is produced in the Philippines, more precisely on the island of Negros. Like all Don Papa brand products, this special bottling is produced with great attention to detail. The sugar cane used grows on Negros, which is also known as "Sugar Island". This is used to create molasses, which serves as the basis for all Don Papas on the market. Like many of its siblings, Don Papa Rum Baroko is also a "blend". This means that it is blended from several distillates, which gives it its versatile character. As soon as this blend is complete, the result is placed in American oak barrels. The rum is allowed to mature there in a tropical climate for several years before it is bottled.
Aroma and flavour
Sweet fruit mingles with vanilla, honey and oak and is immediately enticing to the nose. This is how the nosing experience unfolds with Don Papa Rum Baroko, whose amber colour is a real eye-catcher. This fascinating bottling from the Don Papa range also lives up to the promise of its appearance and nose in terms of flavour. The drink is creamy on the tongue and reveals candied tropical fruits. This is accompanied by spicy notes of vanilla and honey. Oak wood also shimmers through this excellent and harmonious composition time and again. Its charming character makes it a delight on its own - but it shows its true strength in summery and tropical cocktails. A clear recommendation for connoisseurs and rum novices alike.

A very interesting rum from Mexico, with a great history behind it.
During the early 1700s, ships would come from Spain to the New World, bringing with them sweet raisin wine, which would be bottled and sold in Mexico. For the return trip, the barrels would be filled with “Chinguirito” (which was the name for Mexican rum, and is now the name for a Peruvian salad). During the course of the voyage, the spirit would take on the flavours of the barrel and the sweet wine.
As its popularity grew, wine-makers in the region began to see the spirit as a threat, so the King of Spain prohibited its production, hence the name El Ron Prohibido, “The Forbidden Rum”. The spirit has now been given a new lease of 21st century life by this series.
The rum is Solera aged, meaning that the oldest spirit in the blend is around 15 years old. This spirit serves up notes of strong, dark sugar, with plenty of sweet dried fruit notes, tannic oak, black tea, creamy vanilla, and toffee.
El Ron Prohibido is presented in a very distinctive bottle, with a piratical feel to it. The Habanero on the label refers to the fact that Havana was the last port of call before the ships made their long journey back to Spain – no chilies are used to make the rum!
