Sandy and I would like to thank the whole of Flushing Village for the emotional send off in the Royal Standard on Friday evening. We both feel very humble by the amount of lovely cards and presents so many people have given us.
As I said last night we wanted someone from the village to continue with the shop and are so glad Laura has now taken it and we both wish her every success.
It was an absolute pleasure serving the village over the past 10 years and have made so many life long friends. We will miss you all but won't be strangers and will make sure we visit the village.
We both would like to specially thank Sue Lightfoot, Gary Martin and Ann Embury for arranging the lovely evening and surprise gifts

As many of you are aware Sandy and I have sold Flushing Village Store and our last day is Friday 31st March.
We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has supported us over the last 10 years, we're going to miss you all but feel now is the time to slow down and hopefully travel more, which we've been longing to do. Below is some lovely Village photo's taken yesterday on the Quay with many of the villagers saying their goodbye's.

Flushing Village Store is changing its trading hours.

As some of you may be aware, we are changing our trading hours.

This has been brought about by the large increase in utility costs.

Unfortunately our electricity has increased by 300%, by reducing our trading hours we are hoping that this will reduce the electric bill allowing us to continue trading. To be honest, if we don’t change, the end result is the village loses the shop.

The new hours will commence from the 1st February, 2023.

We thank all our customers for their continued support, we need you more than ever in these trying times.

Every night on the news we see the horrific acts going on in the Ukraine and can't imagine what it must be like for these poor people.
Probably like Sandy and I, you feel helpless in this situation so as from tomorrow there will be a collection box in the shop. Please give whatever you can. All donations will go to The Red Cross appeal.
