Hi everyone! we hope you are all planning on coming to the Budock Water Fun Day in the Playing Field on Saturday 4th June as part of Budock's Jubilee celebrations next week?

One of our fundraising ideas is to have a "bottle tombola", and we need your help! Do you have any bottles at home that you would like to donate to help raise money for your village playing field? The lovely Gaynor at Budock Water Village Stores is very generously collecting bottles for us - this can be anything from a bottle of shampoo, ketchup or fruit squash to a bottle of wine, beer, prosecco or champagne. Perhaps you have some unwanted smellies at home, or some bottles in your wine store that you would be happy to donate.

We would be incredibly grateful if you would help us by gifting them to the Fun Day via Gaynor. Alternatively if you'd like to buy some bottles to donate that's great too!

Please can you drop all donations by Thursday 2nd June to give us time to ticket them all up by Saturday?

Good Friday 8 to 6 (closed for lunch between 1 and 2)
Easter Saturday 8 to 6 (closed for lunch between 1 and 2)
Easter Sunday 8.30 to 12.30
Easter Monday 8 to 6 (closed for lunch between 1 and 2)

Newspapers as usual.

UPDATE

Ben has been found!! Very thin but very happy to be back with his family.

He was trapped in an industrial unit behind his home, only coming out of hiding at night. He was caught on cctv. Amazing!

His family are so relieved and want to thank everyone for their support!

Still missing! Reposting as a cat like Ben has been seen in the village just a couple of days ago.

Please look out for Ben. He lives on one of the new estates, but has been spotted recently in the village (Trevoney).

With very best wishes for Christmas 2020. The shop is closed Christmas Day, open between 10 am and 12 noon on Boxing Day (newspapers delivered and available in the shop), and closed New Year's Day. Otherwise open as usual! 🎄

The shop is open today, Easter Bank Holiday Monday, until 1pm. We have fresh milk, bread, and fruit and veg delivered. Also a limited number of hot pasties!

We are offering delivery to those self-isolating or staying at home due to COVID-19. Even if it's 'just' a loaf of bread, bottle of milk or a newspaper - nothing is too much trouble!

Please mention this service when you are checking up on vulnerable neighbours. Spread the word!

In case you haven't spotted it, we are now selling (hot) Pips Pasties and sausage rolls! Also a selection of their yummy sandwiches!

Please pop into the shop or call us on 01326 372697 with your pasty order, for next day collection (Monday to Saturday). We always order a few spares but they go fast, so best to pre-order to avoid disappointment.

"Christmas Greetings from Budock Water"

A new Christmas card inspired by the amazing snowfalls earlier this year is now on sale in the Village Stores.

The card is a print from a watercolour by Eleanor Ludgate and features a snowy St Budock Parish Church.

Ten pence from every card sold will be donated to the church.

The original watercolour is on view in the shop and is available to buy as well.
