🎣Best Friends Reunited - 60 Years of Friendship ❤

Life has a funny way of bringing people back together, and today was one of those magical moments! Bob was in his absolute element when he found out his best friend of over 60 years, Drew, was just across the corridor. These two legends were inseparable back in the day, they even built a gate between their back gardens for easy access 🛠 and spending countless days fishing together 🐟🎣

Now, decades later, they're neighbours once again, sharing stories, laughs and memories as if no time had passed. We captured their reunion in Bob's room, and honestly...that face says it all. Pure joy, nostalgia and a friendship that has stood the test of time 💕

Moments like these remind us what life is all about - connection, love and the bonds that never fade ❤ !

🐾Ferret Fun at Carrondale🐾

Today, we were absolutely smitten with Ghost and Shadow the micro Ferrets 🥰 their playful nature and curious little faces brought so much joy to our residents. It's amazing how these two furry friends sparked so many smiles and conversations - it was truly the highlight of our day 😁

A huge thank you to Donna Simpson for bringing Ghost and Shadow to visit us. Your kindness and their charm made our day extra special 💕 !

🌸A Heartwarming Day at the Dementia Café🌸

Today, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Richmond Hotel, Bo'ness for the Dementia Café, and what a beautiful day it was 💕 Kathy and Nan reunited with long-lost friends, sharing memories that spanned decades.. Margarite, who worked with Kathy at the local store and even lived next door to her, brought so many smiles and stories to life.

The highlight of the day? A heartfelt and uplifting rendition of the Bo'ness Fair Song, filling the room with nostalgia🎼✨

A huge thank you to Denise from Alzheimer's Scotland for hosting such a wonderful event. It was lovely meeting everyone, can't wait for our next one🌟 'nessFairSong !

Ooft, nothing beats a wee shopping trip followed by a well-deserved stop for coffee and cake. From picking out treasures to sharing stories, it was the perfect way to spend the day.

What happens when you mix Vicky, Nadine and a room full of budding (and cheeky) cooks? A Shepherd's Pie masterclass with a side of chaos 😂

From Bill munching on all the carrots before we even started 🥕 to sneaky spoon-tasting when no one was looking, it was a hilarious and heatwarming afternoon.

A huge thank you to our local childminders and their wonderful little ones who visited us during the festive season. The children, all dressed up and brimming with excitement for Santa's arrival, brought so much joy and laughter to Carrondale.

💖In Loving Memory of Wilma Berrill💐

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our amazing resident, Wilma Berrill, on 22nd December. Wilma was a cherished part of our Carrondale family, her warmth and kindness will be missed beyond words.

We would like to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to Wilma's family and friends for their incredible generosity. The family kindly requested retiral donations to be given to the Activity Department here at Carrondale. Brian, Wilma's son, personally delivered an amazing £250 raised in her memory.

Your contributions mean so much and will go towards creating more special moments for our residents - just as Wilma brought joy to so many during her time with us.

Wilma, you will forever hold a special place in our hearts 💖 !

🏊‍♀️Making a Splash at Larbert High School💦

Today was all about smiles, splashes and special moments. Jill was back in the pool at Larbert, joined by Hazel, who hadn't been swimming in a while.

Well, let us tell you-Hazel loved every second of it! From floating to laughing, it was amazing seeing her back in the water, embracing the fun and freedom of the pool.

A big shoutout to Larbert High for always making these moments possible. Here's to many more happy swims and cherished memories 🏊‍♀️✨ !

🎄Better Late Than Never - Christmas Joy at Carrondale 🎨✨

Never too late to share these festive memories! A HUGE thank you to Mhairi McAinsh and the talented art pupils from Larbert High School who walked from the school to Carrondale (talk about dedication!) to bring our windows to life with stunning Christmas decorations. Your creativity and hard work made the season even brighter for us all.

During the painting session, something magical happened - staff and residents couldn't resist the Christmas cheer and burst into an impromptu dance party in the lounge 💃🕺 happiness truly is contagious.

And in the midst of all this joy, one of the artists snuck away for a special visit with her grandad Ian, while others caught up with friends !

Here are a few photos from our games afternoon that unexpectedly turned into the most intense dominoes tournament 🤣 What started as a relaxing game quickly became a battle of strategy, sneaky moves, and whole lot of laughs.

Who knew dominoes could bring out everyone's competitive side? We might need medals for next time 🥇 !

⚽️A Day to Remember at Falkirk Football Club💙

Some days leave a lasting imprint on your heart, and this was one of them! A huge thank you to Falkirk Football Club for the incredible hospitality that made Jim's return to the football ground so special. Sharing the lounge with the players and soaking in the matchday atmosphere brought back cherished memories and pure joy. Jim couldn't stop smiling as he said, "Thank you-that was an amazing day!" 💬 and we couldn't agree more.

A heartfelt thanks to Kevin Beattie for going above and beyond-from arranging parking to making every detail seamless. Your kindness and effort made this one of the most memorable experiences for Jim.

Of course, no perfect day is complete without a treat, so we rounded it off with a wee Chinese takeaway to top it all off 😋here's to the moments that matter, the people who make them happen, and the memories we'll treasure forever 🫶 !

🏉A Day at Murrayfield - Memories to Treasure💙

A little late with this post, but a few weeks ago, DL had an unforgettable outing to the Hive Stadium at Murrayfield, the home of Scottish Rugby, to watch her son play with Dollar Academy against Edinburgh Academy in the final.

The atmosphere was electric, the rugby was thrilling, and it was a brilliant day for everyone involved. Proud moments, great company, and memories made on and off the pitch. Here's to celebrating the passion and dedication of these young players 🙌 !
