Popcorn Lager? Or a drinkable Summer Classic? We’ve got them both and more quirky beers from the guys at Yonder in store now and online soon! These guys are based just across the border in Somerset and are famed for their quirky but epically delicious beer creations and the ones here are no exception.The Eton mess pastry sour is rich and fruity but with a fresh berry zing and just shouts summertime drinks. The limited release collaboration with the Tate Modern in celebration of artists Wassily Kandinski and Gabrielle Münter Cherry Gose is refreshing and easy with the cherry adding a summer fruit note.The Popcorn Lager was one of Yonder’s 2024 Mystery beers and it’s not what you expect. It’s not sweet, it’s a great lager with the smell of popped corn and taste of popped/toasted corn similar to a Japanese Genmaicha.The Cinnamon Bun stout is pure indulgence. A delicious and rich stout with a hint of cinnamon sugar which lifts the heaviness and makes it so so easy to finish way too quickly! Day 1 at London Wine Fair 2024! 🥂. . Apart from the beautiful weather, we had a full day at the London Wine Fair packed with seminars about our industry to Saké and next level Prosecco tastings. Also caught up with some Devon friends from Sandridge Barton Wines and Sonia found her dream classic car! Earlier this week we finally had a chance to go and visit Devon Rum Co at their new HQ in sunny (for an hour 😅) Salcombe.
We first met these guys during lockdown in 2020 when. Giles came in with a bottle of their only rum at the time, the Premium Spiced. As soon as we tasted it there was one big shock!
There’s no Vanilla! It’s one of those sometimes blanketing but super popular spices for spiced rum but without it all the other spices come through and almost makes the rum taste “cleaner”. Anyway we were fans immediately and have been stocking Devon rum co rums ever since including all their new creations.
