at J-J was the first gin still crafted in Scotland to be used for the small batch gin industry - a UK first. Avva Scottish Gin is everything a small batch gin should be. It is an exclusive combination of 11 local, native and traditional botanicals, including 5 locally sourced: rowan, red clover, mint, dandelion and nettle - hand-foraged by Jill. J-J distills our premium ingredients into an exceptionally smooth London Dry Gin, where the juniper lead notes blend with floral botanicals, finishing with a clear citrus mint. Fantastic day at Nairn Show - Nairnshire Farming Society nairnshowsec and lovely to meet the new Chairman of Rhass.

Gin, gin and more gin!

Avva Scottish Gin launched in 2016 distilling in small batches on the UK’s first Scottish made gin still. Prior to Avva I had a wee side hustle I started back when I was a student, which produced fruit liqueurs using Scottish fruit. 🍇 …. Gin was the logical next step in 2016.

Recently we have paired up with the team at Byres Farm for a few events including Cocktails in the Cartshed 😋🍹🍸 and…..

Helen, Bill, Claire & myself also delivered a NEW FARMERS MARKET to Speyside. Our first event held in March was a huge success for vendors and customers. The delicious platter from our farmers and producers was a huge hit with customers. The next market is 9th June

Tasting Tours - these will be returning soon! Picture are visitors from Germany. Matthias works for the fantastic Scotia Spirit in Cologne & sells Avva in both Cologne & Düsseldorf. Always a delight to host our international visitors who loved our cold-brew-coffee-liqueur Cofaidh.

As part of

So let me intro myself. Jill Brown - owner, director and distiller at Avva Scottish Gin. Based in Elgin, Speyside.
I launched Avva Scottish Gin in 2016 & proudly distill all my gin on the UK’s FIRST Scottish made gin still! Stay tuned I’ll introduce her later this month!

Also pictured is a delicious French Martini from Saturday nights menu at Cocktails in the Cartshed! ….. might rename it Mid-Week-Martini 😆🍸😋
