New Cans arrived today, a good mix of Polly's, Deya and Wylam breweries. With the popular Ice Pirates oat cream from Disruption and Massive Piranhas from NeonRaptor.
Making an excellent Christmas present for family and friends or maybe a gift voucher would allow your loved ones to choose their own combination of beers and ciders.

New cans just in, proving to be very popular for Christmas presents.
On tap we have McColls lager and session IPA, along with Wylam Brewery's All Formats (Idaho 7 Pale Ale) and Brewboard's Instru-mentalist (IPA - Imperial/Double).
Maybe your family and friends would appreciate a gift voucher to come and choose their own beers or enjoy a coffee and cake here at Lamplight.

We've extended opening hours today - 10am-7pm, celebrating the switch on of the Coxhoe Christmas Lights.
As well as our usual range of craft beers, artisan coffee and cake, we've mulled wine to keep you warm during the switch on and for that extra special Christmassy feeling add Bailey's to your coffee.

We're keeping things the same - a warm friendly welcome, great coffee and cake, amazing craft beers and cans.

Our opening times remain the same Wednesday/Thursday 10-7pm, Friday/Saturday 10-8pm, Sunday 10-4pm.

🚨 REOPENING TOMORROW 🚨

Neil, Paula and Jamie have worked hard over the past 4 days to transfer the business over and ensure everything is in place for a smooth reopening tomorrow at 10am.

Lamplight will be reopening under Neil and Paula’s ownership and we ask that you please bear with them as they adjust to things.

We’ve turned the lights off and locked the doors for the final time and we want to say one final thank you to everyone who has made Lamplight what it is. We couldn’t have done it without you all.

As we bid farewell on our last day and reflect on three unforgettable years, we want to express our deepest gratitude to each and everyone of you for being part of our journey and for helping to make Lamplight a true community haven. From shared stories and laughs to cherished friendships, each of you have left a lasting imprint on our lives. It’s the people, the friends, neighbors, and the community who’ve turned Lamplight from a vision into a welcoming place filled with warmth, creativity, and connection.

Thank you to everyone who supported us, celebrated with us, and made Lamplight feel like home. Our time here wouldn’t have been the same without your encouragement, support, and love. As we turn the page, we carry these memories with us and hope that the spirit of community we’ve built together continues to thrive. Here’s to all the laughter, milestones, and shared moments. We’ll miss it all more than words can say.

It’s our final week before handing over to Neil and Paula. Our opening times are as normal and we will close for our last time at 4pm on Sunday! Neil and Paula will then reopen on Friday 1st November.

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Lamplight will be under new ownership as of 1 November!

We are excited to hand the business over to a local couple, Neil and Paula. Neil and Paula have supported Lamplight since the day we opened and are looking forward to continue the business as an ongoing concern. They said: “We are over the moon to be taking over Lamplight and continuing it on as is with the view of building on the fantastic opportunities it presents.”

Over the next few weeks, Jamie and Paul will be working with Neil and Paula to ensure the transfer of the business goes smoothly and can continue without much disruption. There may be need to close on the occasional day or two, so please keep your eye on our social media pages for updates.

Jamie and Paul would like to take the opportunity to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported the business and made it what it is today. We could not have done it without you and whilst we are sad that this is an end to an era for us, we are also happy that Lamplight will continue from its roots under Neil and Paula’s leadership.

As many of you now know, Lamplight is SOLD and we are in the process of transferring everything to new owners. During this period it may be necessary to close in order to complete tasks that assist the smooth transfer of the business.

⛱️ ☀️ SUMMER MENU ☀️ ⛱️ It’s almost time for our summer menu in the coffee house! Hopefully the weather joins us. We are looking for suggestions from you of things you’d like to see on it! Iced coffees are a given.

🎉 HAPPY NEW YEAR 🎉 As we come into a new year, we’ve been reminiscing about the progress we’ve made since first opening in November 2021. We have put together a little video to share with you all. November 2021 Shop first opened as The Bear & Bottle. April 2022 Our beer garden opened ready for summer 2022! November 2022 We added more seating and started to reduce shelving space in response to people sitting in to drink more than takeaway. January 2023 We did our first major refurb to alter the layout so that our working area was more practical and to reduce the shelving more and increase seating. July 2023 We started planning a new concept in order to increase daytime trade. This meant rebranding to incorporate the new concept better as well as set us up for expanding. August 2023 We started working with @amazemeinteriors to create an interior that suited our new concept. October 2023 We closed for 3 weeks to carry out our refit and announced the new concept and our rebrand. November 2023 We reopened as Lamplight Coffee House & Tap Room! 2023 really has been a major year for us and we can’t thank you all enough for the support you have given us since opening our doors in 2021. Here’s to 2024! 🍻 ☕️
