Stuart and Nancy Bell are pleased to welcome customers old and new to the characterful General Stores in Lephin, Glendale. Tardis-like the shop is bigger inside than it looks from the outside, with three linked display rooms. We stock a wide range of essentials and luxuries including fresh bread and milk, groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, baking ingredients, snacks, soft drinks, sweets and ic
ecreams. A wide range of local and national newspapers, and many magazines are available. We also stock toiletries, over the counter medicines, dog & cat food, logs and coal, cleaning and laundry goods, stationery, outerwear, automotive fluids and other essential hardware such as fuses and paintbrushes. Deliveries are available for larger orders if you have difficulty getting to the shop, or as 'welcome' boxes for holiday lets. We are always willing to consider requests from local customers and prefer to support local producers where practical. The Post Office offers the usual services as well as stamps including bill payments, phone top ups and cash withdrawals (most current accounts). For visitors to the area we have a range of local postcards, maps, souvenirs and a warm welcome! This is Glendale's local shop - the more it's used the better it gets!
