The reason we don’t stock import prime!!!

£140 plus vat for 12 bottles = £14 a bottle.
Half the people here will slate us if we buy this and charge £15 a bottle… making us a grand total of £1 profit per bottle!

They will call us the worst names under the sun and curse us via private message. Report us to trading standards and report us to Facebook.

And all we are trying to do is provide for our customers and make a living.

So we don’t stock import prime, it’s not worth the headache!!

BBC Scotland News were at Mr Ali’s yesterday talking about rising food costs.

We predominantly stock price marked products in store as this allows us to offer products at the best price to our customers.

However, non price marked products often cost us more as an independent retailer to buy in than some bigger chains and supermarkets sell at. This often leaves us at a disadvantage when trying to compete in terms of pricing.

What differentiates us from our competition is the service we provide in store. We always aim to go the extra mile, have done since 1990 and will continue to do so for many more years to come. 😊
