This no age statement release from Speyburn is named in honour of the fantastic salmon fishing that can be found in the nearby river. Translated from Gaelic as ‘golden salmon’, the Bradan Orach is an entry-level whisky that has been aged in ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 40% ABV. This Highland single malt is a subtle and well-balanced dram, with lots of vanilla, fruit and a spicy finish. The Maltings Hotel

The Maltings Whisky club will do a tasting every month. It will be the first Tuesday of every month. We are looking for 25ppl to join, so we can have a regular group in the back bar. We will be joined regularly by distillery representatives who will come and giving us tastings from thier whiskies. We hope to have, , , , , , , , and tastings amongst others every month including bottles we think you should be buying for investment. £30 for 6 drams every month. Also the whisky shop will be having a new bottle open so you can try and buy whiskies. The first one will be available next week. The MWC (Maltings Whisky Club) will be limited to 25 people max, on a first come, first join basis. Some bottles/tastings will be done by ourselves.

An unmistakable Campbeltown whisky: Initial notes of butterscotch, toffee apples and salted caramel give way to reveal more complexity with traditional maritime and spice notes combined with a subtle touch of peat smoke.
Matured in a combination of Ex-Bourbon and Ex-Sherry casks, vatted and bottled at Springbank Distillery, Campbeltown.

Daftmill 2010 Summer Batch release1 of 6250 open at the Maltings Whisky Hotel. Official Tasting Notes
Drawn from the Summer production of 2010, this vatting of fresh bourbon casks gives wonderfully fruity aromas of tinned peaches in syrup, vanilla custard eclairs and sherbet lemons with a touch of hazelnut spread developing after a bit of time breathing in the glass. The palate is invigorating and vibrant bringing notes of sweet brioche, butter popcorn, lemon zest and an almost hop-like fruitiness before developing some fuller notes of dried apricot.
