After much soul-searching, the ISWS committee has decided not to organise an event in 2015. We are instead putting our support behind the International Cool Climate Wine Symposium, which takes place in Brighton in the UK in May 2016. The ICCWS 2016 is set to be one of the most important events in the international wine community and we hope to see many of you there. Sparkling wine buoys UK drinks market

This is what we like to see... Sparkling Wine enjoying double digit growth in the UK! ....

According to the latest market report from the Wine and Spirit Trade Association (WSTA), retails sales of sparkling wine were up 13% in volume and 19% in value in the last 12 months to 19 July 2014, and up 24% in volume and value in the past 12 weeks to the same date.

A sneak preview of the 2014 Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships results (full results available September 4th): The blanc de blancs category was a triumph for Ruinart, whose NV and Dom Ruinart 2002 both claimed World Champion status. De Castelnau took the reigns in vintage blanc de blancs category with its 2002:
