Hi all,
Firstly, sincere apologies for the late update. Last month has been an eye opener.
Ok let me first start by saying, YES I have sold and yes there are new owners. What was meant to happen was I transferred the business then worked for two weeks , and said my goodbyes, obviously that didn't happen. Instead the transfer date came later than expected and then literally two days after I flew out for a pre-booked holiday. Nearly three weeks later I came back and was in and out of the shop for about 3/4 days. Haven't seen or spoken to half as many people as I would have liked.
I can probably go on for pages about how much I've enjoyed serving the community and how much it means to me, but I think this quote sums it up
"community is about doing something together that makes belonging matter"
I thank all the customers (including school kids), staff friends and family for making this business with me. Thank you for your tireless hours of custom you gave me and the humour and cheek you all endured. Thank you for all the conversations, hugs, words and knowledge boosters that so many of you shared with me. To all the school kids that became parents and then their kids became a pain in my arse, I thank you. To all my elders, past and present, thank you for your irreplaceable presence and knowledge. To all the school kids past and present, thank you for keeping me on my toes, and thank you to sooo many of you who kept in touch. All my ebayers and parcel gurus..thank you for trusting me and staying with me.
My staff ..you know who you are....I love you xx
