UPDATE 5pm Tuesday

Been managing to keep everything down so far today, going to go on a limb and say OPEN TOMORROW (Wednesday) 9am-4:30pm.

Going to take tomorrow off too and hopefully be back on Wednesday, really sorry for the inconvenience guys.

Really sorry but we are closed today.
I've picked up a vomiting bug over the weekend :(

Thought I was fine, opened as normal and then had to reach for the waste paper bin and be unwell... 🤮

So closed today, hopefully back tomorrow, sorry for the let down guys.

Time to address the worst kept secret in Willand...

Yes, the Post Office is up for sale.
No, we are not closing, not under any circumstances.

Robin and I have been here for just under 10 years now and we feel ready for a new challenge and a new home with a spare bedroom or two.

We are insistent that the post office be sold as an ongoing concern and that there be no loss of services to the village. So whomever does buy the property will have to be approved by Post Office Ltd, appointed Postmaster, and keep the Post Office counter open.

Willand will continue to have a Post Office whatever happens.

Handing over a post office is a slow process due to the internal procedures Post Office Ltd go through. As such we are still here for a minimum of 9 months, quite possibly longer, while a buyer is accepted, vetted and trained.

I will of course let you know more when there is more to know.

AMAZON Pick up / Drop Off

Our Amazon hub service remains to be out of action until the O2 mast is repaired.

We have requested to be temporarily removed from the Amazon Hub locations list for now until it has been resolved.

The minute it is up and running again we will let you know but for now we are unable to accept any Amazon HUB returns or be a delivery location for your Amazon items :(

All Royal Mail returns are absolutely fine, it is ONLY Amazon HUB returns that are effected. (The ones that say no packaging required)

Really sorry to say we will be closed tomorrow Monday April 14th.

We had cover arranged for ourselves to have a short holiday but for personal reasons our cover postmaster is now unavailable.

Obviously we've cut out break short and we will be open as usual on Tuesday.

Sad to say our current bread supplier seems to have stopped trading suddenly and we need to find a new bakery ASAP.

I've contacted a couple of bakeries but I am very open to any suggestions or recommendations you guys have to supply us with fresh bread and sweet treats?

Merry Christmas to all of you.

Its been a phenomenally busy Christmas period here at Willand Post office and Robin and I would like to thank you all for your continued support and patronage.

We feel incredibly lucky to live and work in such a lovely community.

Our hours for this and next week are shown here.

We hope you all have a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.

Today, Tuesday 3rd is the last posting date for
Bulgaria, Greece, Israel, Italy and Norway.

Friday 6th is the last date for the rest of the world EXCEPT

Ireland and USA, which are Tuesday the 10th.

Domestic UK post last date Wednesday 18th.
