Office Closed Tomorrow - Tuesday 7th of January

I have literally just now been informed that an OpenReach engineer will be attending tomorrow as part of our copper to fibre upgrade.

We will definitely be open as normal on Wednesday and depending on how quickly the engineer works we might get to do some trade Tuesday afternoon too.

I will update this post as soon as we know more.

Sorry for the short notice on this, you're hearing about it less than an hour after I did...

Merry Christmas to all of you.

Its been a phenomenally busy Christmas period here at Willand Post office and Robin and I would like to thank you all for your continued support and patronage.

We feel incredibly lucky to live and work in such a lovely community.

Our hours for this and next week are shown here.

We hope you all have a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing you all again in the New Year.

LAST POSTING DATES

Today, Tuesday 3rd is the last posting date for
Bulgaria, Greece, Israel, Italy and Norway.

Friday 6th is the last date for the rest of the world EXCEPT

Ireland and USA, which are Tuesday the 10th.

Domestic UK post last date Wednesday 18th.

I've just been notified that due to the postal strikes in Canada we will be unable to accept any mail for Canada until their strikes are resolved.

Any items that have already been sent will be subject to "significant delays" but will be processed.

There are no other post issues at the moment

Sorry to those that found us closed earlier, our printer fault has been resolved and we now open

Due to a dental emergency we will be closed this morning, Thursday 17th October.

We should be open around 2pm this afternoon.

I have been informed today that on Monday 7th October we will have an engineer visit in the morning to do the next stage of our office's Copper to Fibre upgrade.

We will be closed in the morning while the work is undertaken, and we are planning to be open by 2pm that day.

If the engineer is done early, we will obviously open sooner and let you know.

So on Monday 7/10/24 ONLY our opening hours will be 2pm-6pm.

UPDATE
There has been no official update from Post Office Ltd on the issue but I've tried the computer and its seems to be working...

So, we are OPEN! Sorry about the late start, remember we now close at 4:30pm on Tuesdays (so a bit later than you are used to!)

There is yet another IT issue with Horizon that is affecting Post Office branches and as such we are currently unable to trade.

Apparently the IT department are aware of the issue and working on a fix.

We will not be open at 9am but we should be open at some point today...
