Sorry to those that found us closed earlier, our printer fault has been resolved and we now open

Due to a dental emergency we will be closed this morning, Thursday 17th October.

We should be open around 2pm this afternoon.

Sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this causes.

I have been informed today that on Monday 7th October we will have an engineer visit in the morning to do the next stage of our office's Copper to Fibre upgrade.

We will be closed in the morning while the work is undertaken, and we are planning to be open by 2pm that day.

If the engineer is done early, we will obviously open sooner and let you know.

So on Monday 7/10/24 ONLY our opening hours will be 2pm-6pm.

UPDATE
There has been no official update from Post Office Ltd on the issue but I've tried the computer and its seems to be working...

So, we are OPEN! Sorry about the late start, remember we now close at 4:30pm on Tuesdays (so a bit later than you are used to!)

There is yet another IT issue with Horizon that is affecting Post Office branches and as such we are currently unable to trade.

Apparently the IT department are aware of the issue and working on a fix.

We will not be open at 9am but we should be open at some point today...

Change to Opening hours effective 5/8/24

Slight tweak to our opening hours going forwards

From 5/8/24 we will be closing at 6pm on Mondays and Thursdays (slightly earlier than currently)

From 12/8/24 we will be opening longer on Tues/Weds/Fridays, closing at 4:30pm (slightly later than currently)

So, from 12/8/24 our opening hours will be

Monday 9am-6pm
Tuesday 9am-4:30pm
Wednesday 9am-4:30pm
Thursday 9am-6pm
Friday 9am-4:30pm
Sat/Sun Closed.

Sorry to those who missed us this afternoon, our printer decided to quit life and spray ink quite literally everywhere.

An engineer should be with us tomorrow afternoon.

In the meanwhile, I have cleaned the printer as best I can and We WILL BE OPEN as normal at 9am, but we will be unable to print postage or return labels until they get here.

Update:

In an unheard of turn of events, the engineer was done FASTER than estimated.

Cleaning up now and getting ready to reopen at 1pm (about a half hour from now)

A wild engineer appeared!

We are temporarily closed due to unexpected maintenance and upgrade work being done today.

We should be open again around 2pm this afternoon.

On Monday 18/3/24 only the Post Office will be closing at 2pm.

We will be open longer hours on Tuesday 19/3/24 (9-6pm), then back to normal for the rest of the week.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Today we had a pet food and treats restock and refresh!

A new and expanded range of dog treats including JR Pets premium 100% meat sticks and whole pig's ears

Our new self-serve, Nescafé & GO coffee machine was installed today!

Just £2 for any of the hot drinks.

Also, we are offering a meal-deal, any Big Bites Sandwich and a hot drink, only £5.

Update.
Open again now.
We usually close at 4pm on a Friday, we'll stay open til 5pm today to give people a chance to get down that might have missed us earlier.

BT are working on our overhead lines and have knocked out the Internet to the post office.

Hopefully this is resolved quickly but for the meantime we are unable to trade.
