Just a reminder that our last day for the Post Office is this Friday, 30th August.

From Monday 2nd September the shop will be open from 8am to 1pm daily until 14th September which will be our last ever day!

Our stock is getting low but we will still get newspapers, bread, milk meat and cheese deliveries until we close.

We are open this Bank Holiday weekend from 8am to 1pm and then again from 4pm to 8pm. On Tuesday 27th August our opening hours will return to 8am to 5pm.

We are sad to announce that, as we have unfortunately been unable to find a buyer for our business, the Post Office will close at 5pm on Friday 30th August 2024.

Your nearest Post Office after this date will be Croyde or Braunton.

We would like to thank every one of you who has used our Post Office and supported us during some good, bad and interesting times!

The shop will remain open for another couple of weeks but sadly will also close on Saturday 14th September.

This Friday sees our first late night opening of the season. We will be open:

Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm
Weekends and Bank Holidays 8am to 1pm and 4pm to 8pm.

The Post Office will be open 9 to 5 every week day, 9 to 12.30 on Saturdays and closed on Sundays.

It is with great sadness that we must announce that we have made the difficult decision to leave the shop at the end of this Summer. This is due to ongoing health issues which have impacted greatly on our ability to give the shop the attention it deserves.

As we are sure you can imagine, this was a very difficult decision for us having been part of this wonderful community for over 18 years. We have thought long and hard and feel this is our only option at this point in time.

We truly hope that the shop will continue to operate, as we realise it is such a great asset to the community. To that end, should anyone be interested in taking over the lease, please have a chat with Tracey for more details.

It just leaves us to thank all of our wonderful customers. We have made some fantastic friends over the years and will miss you all greatly. We also wouldn’t have got this far without the help of our outstanding members of staff over the years. Special thanks also to Nik and Julie who have been so supportive as Landlords.

We are open all over Easter.

Good Friday 8am to 1pm
Easter Saturday 8am to 1pm
Easter Sunday 8am to 1pm
Easter Monday 8am to 1pm

The Post Office will be closed on Easter Sunday.

We will have a limited amount of bread available so if you need any (or any of the delicious hot cross buns) please order by next Wednesday.

We’ve had a mobile phone handed in which was found in the road near the cemetery. It’s not working or charging and looks as though it has fallen from a car.

We have always tried our hardest to keep our shop well stocked and provide our customers with a wide range of products. Whilst we stock as much local produce as we can, we do need to use the cash and carries from time to time. We were really disappointed to be confronted with empty shelves at Bookers Wholesalers today.

Bookers have taken the decision, across their stores Nationally, to stop selling retail products. Sadly this was inevitable when Bookers were bought out by Tesco - a deal which nearly every independent retailer could forsee would create problems for our supply chain.

Whilst we will do our best to source alternatives, there will unfortunately be products which we will no longer be able to source and we would like to apologise for this.

We will stop selling National Lottery products at the end of January 2024 when Allwyn take over the running of the lottery from Camelot. The Post Office has taken the decision not to continue with the new provider. We will not be able to pay out any prizes on winning tickets or scratchcards after that day.
