🎄 TOMORROW 🎄
Thank you for a super busy Saturday - but the weekend is far from over! Tomorrow is the Totally Locally Chorley Christmas Markets and Chorley Council Lights Switch On! We will be open 10-5 at the shop and there will be a huge range of stalls and activities open on Fazakerley/Chapel/Cleveland Streets, including Old Soul Bakery (see the massive menu!) The stage will be located just past us on Market Street. Entertainment starts at 1pm and the lights will be switched on at 5pm by Keith Duffy, Brian McFadden Shane Lynch from Boyzone/Westlife back in the day! Please do come and support local - it’s a real community event with loads going on. We can’t wait to take turns venturing out to explore the stalls/food outlets during the day!

You might have seen that earlier 8in the week we received a much needed restock of cereals! 🎉 Gluten Free. Nut Free. Dairy Free. Vegan. A cereal? A granola bar? It doesn’t matter - they’re bloody delicious! Look them up on Dragons Den if you’re new to her brilliant ethos! We also have a very cheeky 15% off the entire range and conveniently my cereal box ran out yesterday, so I’ll be having a Victoria Sponge box again thankyouverymuch!! 😂 Open 9:30-4 today 🙂

Sales of the Peptide Serum have been so popular that I’ve got hold of it on refill as soon as it was launched! Simply bring back your bottle - it’ll cost you over £2 less than the new one! How amazing is that?! Or if you want to try just a little at first you are welcome to bring your own little jar or tub - do bear in mind that it’s thin liquid when choosing your container.

Yesterday we received a restock of Wax Melts from the lovely which includes a range of festive/winter scents, including: Pumpkin Spice, Cranberry Orange, Gingerbread, Fir & Mistletoe, Mulled Wine, Holly & Ivy and Christmas Tree! You can find them mixed in with the other melts and also on the festive table!

Yesterday we had a much needed stock drop from 🎉 Therefore their Traditional, Vegetas and Avocado Soaps are all back in stock! We’ve also had a restock of every items across the shop from our delivery yesterday and wax melts from our lovely local maker with some new, festive scents - I’ll share all these later. Lynsey’s in with me today and we’re open ‘til 5pm! 🙂

🧺 DRYER BALLS 🧺
Now that the colder and darker days are here, the washing is no longer making it outside to dry, therefore we rely more upon the machine dryer or our clothes rails to get our clothes ready to go back into the wardrobe. So why not use Dryer Balls? They reduce drying time by an average of 25% by helping the clothes/sheets move more in the machine, allowing the warm air to cycle more effectively, and by absorbing the moisture from the washed clothes/sheets. It also makes them feel softer! We have three options in stock: recycled cotton balls, natural wool balls and silicone Ecoegg balls 🙂

🧼 FINISHED 🧼
Look at the date when I picked up our Conditioner Bar which, as you can see, was on its very last legs this morning. We have had it for 72 weeks; since May last year. I have used it at least once a week; Martin says he’s used it at least once per week too, mostly two. But even if we say as a household it’s been used twice per week, that’s 152 washes. Could be double that! At £5 per bar that means it’s cost us, at the most, 3p per wash. Most likely 2p. How insane is that?! We have loved it. It works even on my super thick hair. It’s easy to take away with us. It lasts and lasts and lasts. Next question is; which do we try next?! We have a wide range to choose from!

Did you know that Ginger is a huge customer favourite here? Are you one of them?! We go through Dark Chocolate Gingers more than any other chocolate on refill (we also have Milk Chocolate!) The are ginger-based to give your immune system a good ‘ol kick - much needed at this time of year! Our recent addition to the shop has been so popular that I’ve just done a DOUBLE order - the Ginger flavour is insanely good and will be back soon! And we have our limited edition Gingerbread flavour! We also have Ginger-flavoured teas, crystallised ginger and ginger spice. Open 10-2 today 🙂

🤍 WHITES 🤍
This evening I’ve been prepping an overnight soak for the messiest white clothes in the wash basket. Mud! Strawberries! Ink! These stains just don’t come out in a ‘normal’ wash. So what do I do? Put the offending items in a bowl, level up with hot (not boiling) water, add two tablespoons of Percarbonate of Soda (aka Natural Bleach), stir, stir again an hour later and then leave overnight before draining and putting them in the washing machine (with other whites if you like). You might say, well isn’t that just the same as Vanish? Well, yes, but with more unnecessary chemicals added in too. We have Percarbonate Of Soda both in 750g packets by Ecoliving or on refill - so you can just try enough for one soak if you like! 🧺

🌲🕯️ CANDLES 🕯️🌲 You have all been doing an amazing job of bringing in your left over candle wax for The Recycled Candle Company to use! And guess what? I’m DELIGHTED to welcome their first stock to the shop! And what better first stock drop than their stunning Christmas Trees! We have small trees in green and red (£5), large trees in green (£12.50) and a HUGE golden tree! This is ex-display so rather than RRP £50 it’s only £35! All will be available from tomorrow ❤️💛💚
