***GREAT NEWS***
So pleased and relieved to announce the Coffee Machine is back up and running!
It’s been out of action for 7 weeks and has certainly caused a financial shortfall in the shop as well as it being a very frustrating time!
Please support us by purchasing hot drinks again and produce!

Your Community Shop Needs you!

We are looking for volunteer(s) to join us to help with Bookkeeping. This is a vital role as we have to manage finances very closely. It would be helpful to join our committee which meets monthly, usually an evening for a couple of hours.
Using Xero, the bookkeeping takes around 2 hours a month with a little more time at the year end. Training and support will be provided.
You must have a good head for numbers and understand financial processes including some knowledge of VAT.
We’re a happy, friendly bunch who welcome your help.

Your Community Shop Needs you!

Our shop staff need some help. We are looking for volunteers to be trained to work in the shop occasionally. Our aim is to have a team of volunteers who we can call on to cover some staff holidays or help out at busy times. An hour or two when you can would be a huge benefit.

The shop is a great place to meet local people, you’d be working with a friendly team at times that are convenient for you. You need to be over 18 as we sell alcohol, although under 18’s would be welcome to work alongside staff during busy times at the weekends.

The Orchard Store Makeover

Yesterday a team of volunteers and staff all worked like nutters moving, lifting, drilling, cleaning, restocking to improve the layout of the shop. The ‘Coffee Shop’ has now got its own dedicated area in the extension and all produce is in the main part of the shop. Come on in and take a look 👀
