Tivoli Wines

An award-winning independent wine merchant situated in the heart of Cheltenham. It became Tivoli Wines in 2010 before David and Helen Dodd took over in 2016.

Tivoli Wines is an online and retail wine store based in the picturesque regency town of Cheltenham on the edge of the Cotswold Hills. There's been a wine shop at 56 Andover Road since the 1980s, and our Tina has been here more than half of that time. We believe in Quality, Value and Education. We refuse to sell wine of substandard quality; supermarkets exist to fulfil that purpose, and all of our

wines are tasted by the team before they hit the shelves. Value doesn't mean just paying as little as possible, it means getting the best quality wine possible for the money you want to spend. Most importantly, we want to educate our customers so that they can buy better. In November 2017, we opened The Wine Library above our shop in Cheltenham, offering 32 wines from Enomatic tasting machines and a further number of iconic fine wines including Chateau d'Yquem and Penfolds Grange from Coravin, so that customers can learn more about wine and their own tastes.

January is our quietest month, so we don’t tend to add many new wines to our range. These two are an exception…

Both from ; we have the delicate Harmonie Pinot Noir, with pretty floral notes, cherries and strawberries; the Granite Riesling is racy and dry, with bergamot citrus, white flowers and steely minerality. £22.99 and £21.99 respectively.

Rooted in centuries of illicit distilling, the Hebridean Isle of Raasay provides the ingredients for some of the best Scotch whisky. Their lightly peated single malt is already a favourite amongst many of you, and is a true expression of the magical place it comes from.

Beaujolais Nouveau 2024 has landed! But, as the rules state, you can’t get your hands on it until the third Thursday of November. Thankfully, that’s just a couple of days away, so here’s what we’ve got to offer this year…

We will have both open to taste in-store from 11am this Thursday 21st November, with a limited amount of each available for purchase. If you have no plans for Thursday evening, we do still have a few spaces left for our Beaujolais event. Potentially the last Saturday Club of the year! You know you want to…

Saturday Club sees us open a number of our new wines as well as hidden gems, offering you an informal tasting of them upstairs in The Wine Library.

The concept is simple. £15 per ticket. 15 tickets available. A casual tasting. A minimum of 5 wines. 2-3pm (ish). It’s fun. Come!

If you’d like to hang around afterwards, you can buy bottles from the shop to drink in with half price corkage - just £5 on top of the retail price!

Head distiller, Richard Seale, is one of the region’s most innovative distillers and blenders, using a state-of-the-art three-column vacuum still and modern pot still to craft a range of rums with incredible flavour.

Known for its commitment to quality, Doorly’s and Foursquare focus on traditional production methods and long cask ageing, avoiding added sugars and flavourings to maintain the authenticity of their products.

Join us for an evening with Peter Holland, the UK Brand Ambassador for Foursquare, where we’ll be sampling a range of rums whilst learning the history of the producer. Tickets available online and in-store.
