Tivoli Wines is an online and retail wine store based in the picturesque regency town of Cheltenham on the edge of the Cotswold Hills. There's been a wine shop at 56 Andover Road since the 1980s, and our Tina has been here more than half of that time. We believe in Quality, Value and Education. We refuse to sell wine of substandard quality; supermarkets exist to fulfil that purpose, and all of our

wines are tasted by the team before they hit the shelves. Value doesn't mean just paying as little as possible, it means getting the best quality wine possible for the money you want to spend. Most importantly, we want to educate our customers so that they can buy better. In November 2017, we opened The Wine Library above our shop in Cheltenham, offering 32 wines from Enomatic tasting machines and a further number of iconic fine wines including Chateau d'Yquem and Penfolds Grange from Coravin, so that customers can learn more about wine and their own tastes.

Foursquare Rum Distillery is one of the few remaining family owned producers in the Caribbean. Always praised for their Exceptional Cask Selection limited releases, Foursquare are also responsible for the more affordable Doorly’s brand.

The Seale family’s Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, with a legacy dating back to 1820, combines five generations of rum-making expertise with cutting-edge technology. Head distiller, Richard Seale, is one of the region’s most innovative distillers and blenders, using a state-of-the-art three-column vacuum still and modern pot still to craft a range of rums with incredible flavour.

Known for its commitment to quality, Doorly’s and Foursquare focus on traditional production methods and long cask ageing, avoiding added sugars and flavourings to maintain the authenticity of their products.

Join us for an evening with Peter Holland, the UK Brand Ambassador for Foursquare, where we’ll be sampling a range of rums whilst learning the history of the producer. Tickets available online and in-store.

A tale of two Thalias, our current faves from .

Hailing from AOC Languedoc, often referred to as the world’s biggest vineyard, this area stretches from the Pyrenees to Provence across a vast section of the south of France. The Taix family produce their wines in the heart of the Côtes de Thongue, using cement tanks for vinification.

The orange (mostly Viognier) has a beautiful peachy, pithy quality to go alongside satsuma and chamomile tea aromas. Perhaps this is the one to convert you to the wonders of orange wine. £22.49

The white (Chardonnay with a splash of Viognier) has a creamy texture with a waxy lemon and white fruit profile on the nose. Plenty of minerality on the finish. £18.49

Waterkloof and Kanonkop goes without saying, but we’re really excited about the . Lukas was once titled South Africa’s ‘Young Winemaker of the Year’, and since he’s now shrugging off his Young Gun status, he’s moving firmly into cult adoration.

These 2022’s (Geronimo Cinsault and Breton Cab Franc) are part of his seventh vintage, and they’re said to be “pure rock and roll, emphasis on pure.”

While we figure out our tasting events for the rest of the year, we’ll just leave this one here…

Nestled in the shadow on the Vosges mountains and heavily influenced by their Germanic neighbours, Alsace sets itself apart from the other notable wine regions within France.

Here, winemakers focus on the “noble” varieties of Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Gewurztraminer along with a smattering of Pinot Noir. The white wines range in style from fresh, mineral and clean through full-bodied oily and aromatic and all the way to unctuous and sweet. The reds are typically lighter and brighter in comparison to the Pinots of Burgundy, and there’s sparkling by the way of Crémant d’Alsace too.

We’ll take you through a selection of these styles at this seated event in The Wine Library. Tickets now live on our website. ✌️

Have you tried these two organic reds from the Caiaffa winery in northern Puglia yet?

The Primitivo is fresher in style, compared to the other Prims in our range, with notes of wild strawberries, black berries and cherries. There’s a floral, peppery undertone, but it’s all about the bright and juicy palate with a deliciously silky texture. Certainly one for the BBQ. £16.99.

If you’re into points from wine critics, Caiaffa’s Nero di T***a got a 17 from Jancis Robinson, which is good going for a wine that costs just £16.49. “Deep, concentrated ruby. Earthy cherry nose but refined. Gorgeous, lush, polished red fruit with fine, coating tannins.”

👀 Château Saint-Pierre’s Secret has a brand new look.

This is the Provence producer’s IGP Méditerranée rosé, meaning grapes come from a wider area on the southeast coast of France, however it’s still very much Provençal in style… Just a little less expensive at £13.99.

60% Cinsault and 20% each of Grenache and Syrah, it has flavours of white fleshy fruits, lemon zest and a touch of minerality. We’re not keeping this secret to ourselves; it makes a perfect aperitif or a partner to light summer dishes (if summer’s still here).

Open as usual today FYI.

We’ve got back in stock for your Thirsty Thursday. 😎

‘Suelo Vivo’ translates to ‘living soil,’ in reference to their natural farming ethos. This light orange wine is the perfect introduction to the style, and fantastic for everyday drinking (read dangerous 🤪). The Garnacha Blanca gives texture and spice whilst Moscatel adds an uplifting aromatic and fruity element.

Our September festival tasting will be the wines of Portugal!

Each Portuguese region produces a broad range of high-quality wines, and the vast quantity of native grape varieties (more than 250) means that these wines have very distinct personalities.

A reluctance to follow trends and plant international grapes has really paid off for Portugal, and the new breed of full-blooded, fruit-filled wines are more than able to compete on the world stage… And more and more of you are coming in asking for them!

We’ll take you on a journey, tasting crisp Vinhos Verdes from the Atlantic north-west through the Douro, Dão and Lisbon to the big, bold reds of the Alentejo, plus more. Portuguese wine is diverse and exciting with a style to suit everyone. Tickets available via our website or in-store: https://www.tivoliwines.co.uk/portugal

Time for a refresher in this heat? Try this new Puglian fizz.

“Very special sparkling rosé made from the hyper local Susumaniello variety. The sort of wine that really bridges the gap style-wise between a fruity and fun pet nat and a more serious and textured traditional method sparkling.“

With 36hrs skin contact, it has a bright pop of cherry-red colour and lots of raspberries and strawberries in flavour.

Drink something fun in the sun… £26.99 ✌️
