Two newbies this week, starting with the new DIPA collab between two of our absolute favourite breweries in Overtone Brewing Co and Azvex Brewing Co., as well as our first cans from our new pals at Strangers Brewing in Linlithgow. We'll be out delivering in and around Carlisle this afternoon so if you need any beers, you know where to find us!

Motorphobia: an 8% DIP collab showcasing the citrus and tropical stylings of The Bruce Hop. £6.75

Narrowboat IPA: 5.7% IPA that is pale and refreshing, perfect for watching the world drift by. £3.75

We just can't stop ourselves! We've just dropped three new beers into the shop this morning, and while our start of the year drops will not be as regular as normal, we're still looking to keep the best beers in stock for you

We've got the new batch of the legendary Blood Machines DIPA from Rivington, which sold out like wildfire last time we got it in so be quick if you want some! We've also got a case of the new Simcoe Pils from Crooked River Brewing Co. and a brilliant new Co**se Paint IPA from Azvex Brewing Co. (can't think why Sandy bought this one...)

We are appealing for witnesses after stopping a blue Ford Transit van containing barrels of cooking oil from restaurant/cafes.

The van was stopped in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 8th January 2025, in Dumfries. Our initial enquiries have identified a number of business premises who have had these barrels stolen.

We encourage business owners to check their stocks of old and new cooking oils to ensure they have not become a victim of theft.

If you have any information that may assist officers or if you have a had anything stolen, please contact 101 quoting reference 0190 of the 8th January 2025.

Two men, aged 18 and 25, were arrested but have been released pending further inquiries.

We're so disappointed that our last market or the year was cancelled due to bad weather, so we're going to do ONE MORE DAY of deliveries this week before Christmas. Tomorrow is that day: SUNDAY 22nd. If you had planned to come to the market, we're going to be in Carlisle and the surrounding area for deliveries and collection drop offs at Drovers Rest Inn . Hopefully you'll be able to catch us somewhere!

Unfortunately our last market of the year has been cancelled due to forecasted high winds. 😢 This is totally understandable, but also disappointing for us as we have a huge selection of beer in stock for Christmas. 🎄

With 9 more days til Santa comes clinking down the chimney bringing you some wonderful beery surprises, we wanted to thank you all for all your custom this year and let you know how the next few weeks are looking for deliveries.

▪️Webshop

1️⃣Orders placed this week for local areas - Carlisle, Brampton, Gretna, Dumfries, Lockerbie and surrounding villages will be delivered on Friday by our very own hard working Beer Santa, Sandy - maybe we should call him Sandy Claus and get him a santa hat 🤣 Orders for the local area will be delivered again between Christmas and New Year as and when we can so please allow us a few days for delivery and as always feel free to message us if you want to discuss delivery.

2️⃣Orders to be shipped further afield via APC need to be placed with us by Thursday 19th to get to you by Christmas. Any orders placed after that may not get to you til after the New Year with the way the bank holidays fall.

▪️Trade - we are working on our last list for you of the year. It will be sent out to you via email as usual later this afternoon. We won't be making our usual trade deliveries for two weeks and the next list will be sent out on Monday 6th January. If you don't already receive our trade list and want to, we would LOVE to hear from you.

➡️ Finally - we are in Carlisle City Centre for our last market of the year on Saturday (21st) so please pop along to see us, buy yourself some goodies or get a last minute Christmas gift box of beer. We will also have gift vouchers available for our website.

THIS IS IT! And by it, we mean our very last Christmas shop drop, we promise, there is no more. At all. Definitively!

We are loaded with excellent beer for Christmas time, and we've got three delivery Fridays (including today) and the last Saturday market in Carlisle for you to stock up. Our final treats are very very special.

First up our last new Lakes Brew Co of the year, a rich fruity berry sour. Then a treat of three excellent new bottles from our pal Dookit Brewing Co chocolate porter, leubkuchen cake beer, and even a little green hopped mild too. Also the four cans from our newest compadres at Mains Brewing Company in Glasgow, bringing some excellent farmhouse and Belgian style beers to our shop.

Finally our big finale, the newest imperial stout from Azvex Brewing Co.., the second Cacaodemon release, Hell on Earth. We've been waiting a long time for this, prepare for chocolate and caramel DOOM!

We're out at picturesque Rose Castle near Dalston today, out in the courtyard for our market stall. We're here until 8pm so if you're nearby, pop round and get some great gifts for Christmas or just some beers for the weekend!

We've just added some new beers for the festive period, including two incredible imperial brown ales, three delicious beers (including their Smoked Old Fashioned that sold out first at ) and two awesome new beers from as well! There are plenty more to come as well, keep an eye out!
