🚨KEEP CASH CONSULTATION ENDS ON 9TH MARCH!🚨
The Government is currently running a consultation to gather experiences about people trying to use cash, it being refused and the impact that that has. This ends on 9th March ahead of a Westminster Hall Debate on 20th March.
This debate is specifically about whether the Government should require all traders to accept cash. The trend towards a cashless society has to be prevented, so again, we need to make our voices heard.
These debates are often woefully unattended so it’s imperative we all email our MP and tell them we want to go. If they then refuse and we’re able to prove that X amount of us emailed and requested their attendance we can publish the numbers to hold them to account.
The move towards a cashless society is threatening the financial privacy and human rights of millions of people. We need to protect our rights and ensure equal access to goods and services for everyone, regardless of their financial situation or access to technology.
