TIRED HANDS TAP FEATURE

EPIC BEERS WITH EPIC BURGERS!!!

With the news dropping yesterday that are joining us for another weekend of decadence we thought let’s level up the beers for them….

For the uninitiated are little brewery from Philadelphia that we have been following for almost 10 years. Specialising in incredibly hoppy beers as well as Belgian inspired saisons and farmhouse ales.

We are putting 4 taps of their on come Friday along with a cheeky keg of to really make the list extra special.

TAP LIST

1. Crushable Church - 4.8% Session IPA Inspired by all our love for Alien Church, is brewed with oats, kettle hopped with Cascade and Columbus, and dry hopped with the choicest Mosaic, Citra, and Chinook.

2. Death Tripper 💀- 6.66% IPA brewed with oats and wheat. Hopped generously with Columbus, Galaxy and the all mighty Simcoe. Gloomy and delicious!

3. Narcissist - 8.0% DIPA A brand new double dry-hopped double IPA brewed with the best Centennial, Citra, and Mosaic and then double dry-hopped with hand selected NZ Nelson Sauvin.

4. Alien MegaChurch - 9.5% TIPA A hopped up and blissed out triple version of our beloved Alien Church. This beer is brewed with tons of oat and hopped irresponsibly with handpicked Columbus and Cascade before being absolutely obliterated in the dry hop with Chinook, Citra and Mosaic.

5. Other Half Mosaic Dream - 6.0% IPA Mosaic Dream is a smaller version of our Double Mosaic Dream. This beer is solely hopped with Mosaic.

“IT’S EVOLUTION BABY”

For those of you regularly with us this may come as old news… However we thought it time to make a point of a couple of changes that have happened since the beginning of the year in our little space.

After consulting with regarding custom tables (the window table is our favourite) to maximise the space and offer as many of you a comfy seat we quickly realised we needed suitable chairs….

Abi worked her magic and found these bloody lush celadon green chairs from .welovedesign_uk to tie it all in.

We feel the shop is already breathing better this year.We thank you all for your continued custom, it’s helped us re-invest back into State of Love & Trust so that our community space can reach its potential and remain sustainable for years to come.

WINE FOCUS

Once a week we will endeavour to deep dive on a single wine from our range. We thought EricTexier’s, “Chat Fou” (Crazy Cat) would be a worthy place to begin.

“A man of conviction but by no means a zealot, Eric Texier likes to push the boundaries.

Despite having no experience or contacts in wine, Eric decided to give up his career as a nuclear engineer and study winemaking in 1992, interning with Jean-Marie Guffens at Verget in Mâcon.

Declassified to Vin de France, as opposed to the more usual Côtes-du-Rhône due to its production method: a blend of 55% Grenache, 30% Cinsault and 15% Clairette from south-facing, granite and gneiss slopes in the Ardèche.”

The combination of white and red grape varietals along with Eric’s wine making style make this a beguiling, silky, very drinkable but thoughtful wine. With the tannin kept in restraint the fruit is pure and clean making it the perfect pre-dinner wine requiring no accompaniment.

TRIPLE PuTTTy ON DRAUGHT TODAY!!!!

3 FONTEINEN TASTING!!!

We’re starting the 2025 beer tasting events as we mean to go on…

3 Fonteinen already own their place in brewing history and we have a line up to appreciate and understand why. Their groundbreaking Zenne y Frontera series which features lambic blends aged in 40+ Year old Sherry barrels. From Olorosso to Amontillado and even Pedro Ximenez there are layers of complexities to these beers that can be found nowhere else.
