Our cheeky Barham Store Elf is looking for a kind little boy or girl to look after him this Christmas. However, you need to guess the magic password before Santa will let him go. If you think you can guess the password, come into the shop on Christmas Eve morning before 12 noon and whisper it to one of our staff or volunteers. If it’s correct, then you can take him home!
GOOD LUCK and a Merry Christmas to you All xx

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Debbie, Chloe and all the local community at Barham Village Store. A couple of months ago Debbie placed one of our collection boxes and a collection bucket in the store and the community have raised over £115 by popping their spare change into the collection box.
Thank you to all the Barham community for supporting our vital work and making a difference to the lives of children, young people and families affected by Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA). What a lovely community you are. For anyone ever visiting Kent, this award-winning store is a real gem in the community and well worth a visit.
If you know somewhere near you that you could place a collection box to raise funds for Juvenile Arthritis Research, let us know and we can pop one in the post to you. We also include them in our fundraising packs for anyone wanting to organise their own fundraising event or activity to support our work. Fundraising packs can be requested at www.jarproject.org/fundraising

Unbelievably a natural spring has emerged at the rear of Barham Village Store! The mineral rich, chalk filtered water is bottled at source by our volunteers. ‘Barham Spring’ limited supply for one day only.
Barham Village Store (And Post Office) - Our Story
You can find most everyday essentials in store but if you are looking for something a little different we also stock a selection of speciality fine foods, wines and beer.
We’re not just about big brands, we LOVE local! You can find locally baked bread, eggs, honey, juices and even wine from around the corner, yogurts and cream from the Elham Valley and cards and gifts from Barham crafters and businesses. Our shelves are stacked with products from Kent food producers.
Our post office is proving to be increasingly invaluable to the Elham Valley villages as more and more outlets close - you can now bank, buy stamps, top up phone cards, order foreign currency, arrange click&collect, there are so many services on offer.
Barham Village store has achieved its success through volunteer power! We have over 70 volunteers working front of house or behind the scenes and it is this willingness to contribute to the store and the community which has seen it go from strength to strength.
Our profits go back into the running of the store and to our charity which helps local enterprises such as the new Barham Youth Football team, equipping Barham Cubs and Scouts and paying for a seniors’ lunch event.
