SUNDAY ROASTS
From this Sunday 28th January 2024, we are bringing back our delicious Sunday Roast Dinners. Beef and ham or chicken and ham, roast & mash potatoes, seasonal veg and Yorkshire puddings, for only £12. Full menu is also on offer including PIZZAS. Opening hours 12:30 till 20:30.

THIS WEEKEND
Saturday Celtic v Rangers from 12:00. This is a mixed venue, no colours and please respect all the customers in the pub.
21:00 we have The MoonRocks live on stage till midnight.

Sunday Our kitchen closes at 17:30 for last orders. Pub closes at 19:00.
If you are lucky enough to have a ticket for the Hogmanay Party, doors open at 21:00 and the pub closes at 02:00

Pub will reopen on Monday at 16:00 (no kitchen) and close at midnight.

The shop will be closed on New Year's Day and normal hours will resume Tuesday 2nd January 2024.

SUNDAY, Xmas Eve.
The afternoon is for the kids. Get your parents round here early as we have the "Grinch", starring Jim Carey, from 14:00. After the last couple of hectic weeks, lets' relax and enjoy the movie. At approximately 16:15, Santa Claus will be here to meet all you youngsters, before he sets out on his busiest night of the year.

From 19:00 we have the fabulous Craig T with Karaoke, until 22:00.

THIS WEEK

Food available from Ernesto's from 12:30 until 20:30

Thursday from 8pm, the BIG quiz with Stevie. Winner takes all with giveaways throughout the night.

Friday from 9pm we have the fantastic Amanda Scott live on the stage, singing all your favourites. Pub closes 01:00

Saturday at 20:00 we will be handing the stage over to the young band the New Tones, our first live band of the evening . From 21:00 we have the the auld yins The Beat Sons will keep you going till midnight. Pub closes 01:00

Sunday from 14:15 we are showing the Jim Carey Xmas movie "The Grinch". Get the kids settled down and enjoy the movie.
At approximately 16:30 Santa Claus will be in the building to see and meet all the kids before the BIG Day.
Craig T will be live with his fantastic Karaoke set from 19:00 till 22:00, Pub will close at 23:00

Christmas day the pub will be open for drinks only at 11:00 and will close at 15:00

Pub will reopen at 15:00 on Boxing Day, again for drinks only.

Due to our staff Xmas night out tomorrow Sunday, our kitchen will be closing for last orders at 17:30pm, the Shop will also be shut at 19:45pm.

The Newton Arms is 10 years old next July. Being a great believer that 10 years is a marker for revamping of businesses etc, to keep things fresh and ready for the next 10, I would kindly ask that you reply with what you enjoy best about the Newton Arms and also what you think would benefit the business moving forward.
Rumours of selling up or retiring are not true and Sandra and myself, hope to serve the area for many years to come.

Some main points to pick from:-

4) Choice of product at bar
5) Food, menu, quality and value

Update Guest Wi-Fi
Since opening, we have struggled with our broadband connection. Some of you will have had the experience of trying to pay by card in the shop, machine crashes and failed payments.
Whilst many failed attempts to get connected, for years, onto the fibre network to speed things up, we have always been advised that our copper cable runs the wrong way and therefore we are limited to 12mbps download and 1mbps upload.
Three weeks ago our broadband collapsed totally and I found myself at 3am on a Saturday, doing test purchases in the shop. Our Guest Wi-Fi is unfortunately still not fixed and for this we apologise.
Having E mailed our constituency MSP Claire Haughey, she has received a reply from Openreach stating that they are not planning to reroute our network although they are now hoping to be connecting us to full fast fibre straight to the building by March next year.
Once again Apologies regarding the Guest Wi-Fi and fingers crossed for everyone, suffering from poor internet connection, for the future.

SATURDAY at the Newton Arms.
Ernesto's serving their full menu from 1230 till 9pm (last food orders 2030pm).
From 9pm till midnight we have the fantastic Amanda on stage, singing all your favourites, don't be late.
SUNDAY
We will be opening at half past eleven for the Rangers v Celtic match on Sky. Please remember we are a mixed venue, no football colours to be worn and please respect other customers.
Pub will close at 7pm on Sunday therefore last call for alcohol will be 6-40pm and Ernesto's last food orders must be in for 6pm.
Essentials will be open normal trading hours.
