Glentauchers is another in our opinion. Every indy bottling we have tried from this distillery has been full flavoured, heavy and hearty! We chose this Signatory Vintage 2012 12 Year Old to include in August's Underrated Whiskies tasting!

Loch Lomond Single Grain has been one of our most surprising drams over the years! Somehow managing to be both light and citrussy and as well and rich and creamy! We definitely think its !

We love whisky tastings with Backroads in the Garden Room at Cromlix Hotel! The décor is amazing and the staff always make sure we have such lovely colour coordinated flower arrangements!

Whisky is also best enjoyed with friends 🥃 What Friday night dram are you enjoying solo or with some whisky friends 😋?
Another treat we were served by and …Johnnie Walker Red Label circa 1970 😍 coming in at a low 40% but a wealth of history 📜Lots of musty orange-y notes 🍊 and a surprising amount of smoke! Some soft fruits with a bitterness and a wee hint of grainy goodness 😋
Always such a pleasure to try an older bottling like this thank you so much!🙏😘

And we have some of the best who treated us to this delicious and quite dark rosé from Vallée du Rhône 🍷Made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah from organic vines 🍇Perfumed, vibrant and FULL of strawberries 🍓

Delicious Evening Dram from a Whisky Friend ready ✅
This is a fantastic G&M bottling of Clynelish 🥃 Matured in a refill bourbon cask for 15 years and bottled at a tasty 57.4% abv 😍
Honeysuckle, peach and a fresh eucalyptus on the nose 👃 with peach sweeties and a hint of white pepper to taste 🍑
Thanks again Rob for gifting us this to try 🙏😋

Another shot of this delicious Bunnahabhain from Cadenheads 😍😍
The taste is just as complex as the smell….strong and oily with a velvety mouth feel 😋 we often find something different than the official tasting notes 🤣 but we completely agree with Cadenhead on this one…blackcurrant juice and smoked chilli coated peanuts 😍

A beautiful bottle of Bunnahabhain from Cadenheads 😍 a gift from Jen to Rach, friends who gift whisky are the best type of friends 🥰🥃! Distilled in 2013 and bottled in October 2023 after a stay in Red Wine casks (from August 2019) 🍷 obviously Bunnahabhain is a favourite of ours, paired with the expertise at Cadenheads is a magical combination 🪄
Quite a contrasting smell with fresh AND dried raspberries, blackberries and blueberries at first 🫐 a second nose and it’s ALL smoky bacon 🥓

Perhaps one of the coolest archaeological/ whisky geek finds at Lindores 😍 This is thought to be the site where the monks still would have sat as far back as 1494 🤯 usually hidden and protected from the elements but they uncovered this for us to have a look 👀 they're hoping to integrate this into future tours but are just working round the right way to do it.
Of course you can also see Wallace, distillery dog and all round show stealer aiding Drew in his explanations of the site 🤣
