Really sad to see such great friends of mine in Up market family butchers 41 bartlett Street caerphilly leave Ffos market, but I wish them all the best, and can’t wait to see them at their new place on Van Road business park opening in May!!

They’ve got an amazing following already, but if you haven’t heard of them, please do go up and give them a visit at their new premises for the best fresh and cooked fish anywhere locally! 🍤🐟

(P.S. Cath, Jeanette and co. There will always be a couple bottles of cider waiting for you if you ever come down and visit!)

PUTTTY!!

We missed out on the regular PUTTY (8% DIPA) this year - my fault completely🤦🏼‍♂️- but have managed to get a hold of a limited number of cans of Triple PUTTTY (10% TIPA) for all you lovely people!

This is a once a year triple IPA that certainly lives up to its hype!

Creamy, hoppy and intense, this beer has had a 30 grams per litre dry-hop on top of the 10 grams per litre in the whirlpool.

Grab it whilst you can - when it’s gone, it’s gone!

I’m devastated to say I’m going to be spending the next week on holiday having lots of fun and enjoying lots of Sun…☀️

Unfortunately that does mean that the shop will be closed until Thursday 24th January. Apologies if this causes any inconvenience.

But don’t worry! My glamorous assistant Max has generously offered to open up the shop between 10am-5pm this Saturday 18th to get you all through the weekend. 🎉

Please all show your appreciation to Max by giving him a big hug and kiss if you pop down. He’s not awkward at all and will really enjoy it, I promise. 😉

We’ve had a few big deliveries to start the year, so pop on down on Saturday to see some of the brand new beer, cider and spirits we have to offer! 🍻

We’ve just stocked up on a range of top quality non alcoholic beers from some of the best 0% craft brewers.

An emotional post for us here at Dark Element

We have created one more beer this year and it's in memory of a great man and big Dark Element supporter, My Father in law who we lost recently, He was an avid cyclist and back before launching the brewery I took the first 2 beers up for us to try, Headlights and Cosmic!, We said we would have one of each and ofcourse that turned into finishing a box and getting a tad p*ssed! It feels fitting that this beer is a mash up of both the above beers.

Name - Chasing Stars
ABV - 5.6%
Hops - Nectaron, Citra, Mosaic and Galaxy

We will be donating 10% of all sales on this beer to which are a great charity that helped with his care until the end

This will release in the new year and we will be attaching a QR code to the can labels for anyone who would like to donate
