It was so cold so extra points for braving the freezing conditions. Thankfully my room was toastie. I’m on a bit of a roll with new work so getting it out there in person is great for the soul. ❤️ .art can’t wait to

Now that the 21st Birthday party 🥳 is done and dusted as per last post, it’s time to refocus on my Art pop up at this Thursday evening (21st) and this coming Sun 24th Nov. Yes, we will be rolling out the obligatory mulled wine and mince pies and we have new paintings, artwork, calendars & prints. Using bright colours in my work has been a bit of a game changer for me. Back in the day we were all about monochrome and played more with scale. I’ve always been a lover of colour and always prided myself at the ability to match colours on the textile tables. I mean we’ve all got our talents!! 😆😆 ❤️

As an ex art student in my early twenties I inevitably did my little stint in Terence Conran’s beautiful homeware shop Habitat. It was a great job working with like minded people in an environment which set out to bring a more European way to shop for contemporary home wares, duvets, the infamous chicken brick, pasta makers, paper pendant shades, art etc… etc…… Working within such a cool aesthetic also somehow made me feel better looking than I actually was. 😆 Another thing that always makes me laugh is the fact that having Habitat on your CV would in no way secure a job at Aldi or Lidl, in fact it would probably put your application to the bottom of the pile Hope you’re still with me??!!Habitat was always ahead of the curve when it came to an exciting shopping experience and one of my favourite memories of my time there was the music they played all day er day to keep the shoppers shopping. One track that stayed with me all these years later (and their has been many) is C’est si Bon by Yves Montand. Even my kids know all the words (too cute) When I come up with a new design I need to have some kind of connection or I generally speaking can’t put it out there. So, for me, this is my new favourite. It’s so Good!!! ❤️ C’est si Bon do you remember? X

Exciting news!
