Oh sweet gooseberries, how you are neglected,
For your tartness and acidity oft rejected.
But to those who truly appreciate your taste,
How you bring joy and excitement with haste.
Your plump, green berries are packed with flavor,
A combination of sour and sweet, to win our favour.
Your texture is delightful, soft and succulent,
A fruit that should never go unnoticed or dormant.
In pies and jams, you are a gem,
An ingredient that adds depth and zest, oh how we commend.
Your potential is boundless, your culinary scope wide,
Yet many do not give you a chance, they foolishly abide.
But fear not, dear gooseberry, for we shall sing your praises,
We shall spread the word of your beauty and exquisiteness in phases.
For you are a fruit that deserves recognition and honor,
A flavor that enriches our taste buds, oh how we adore.
So let us not under appreciate you, sweet gooseberry,
