Sugrue make possibly Englands’s finest sparkling wines. Their Gin is a marvel and so it should be at the price, but that’s the point, it’s amazing. Now we have a oaked a Chardonnay with some twists. The reviews are amazing, we’ll crack open a bottle this weekend and make a judgement. As we only have 6 bottles that will leave 5. It’s under £30. That’s not even respectable Burgundy price. If you like Zombie films, are wine inquisitive and like well made wine, this could be for you.

Why not try our new range of Gymkhana curry sauces and marinades. Same recipes and ingredient and suppliers as they use in their 2 Michelin starred restaurant in London. We read a Times review where they couldn’t tell the difference!! We cooked a batch last week. Extraordinary. Best curry I’ve ever cooked at home. Brown the meat, simply add sauce. Fantastic reveries online. You’ll never need to get a takeaway curry again.

We’re celebrating Beaujolais Nouveau on the 21st November with a lunch and a more casual early evening. We’ll have a fantastic selection of cheeses that we don’t normally sell, with terrines, saucisson, great bread and salads. We have three producer’s Nouveau wines and two Beaujolais Cru that Decanter rated in their top 50 wines tasted last year. If you’re not too keen on reds we’ll obv have some whites as well. If you just like cheese why not pop along in the late afternoon and try the wines with a bit of cheese. We’ll have a warming fire outside and some French tunes. We have a few place left for lunch. Book online in the usual way.

The Wine Loft Brixham

The Wine Loft is a wine shop where you can browse and buy good value wines, a few beers and some spirits. Wine always tastes better with food and so we have gathered together some of our favourite Spanish foods, mostly from the amazing Brindisa but also some of the best artisan tinned fish . You can buy these too.

What makes the Wine Loft different is that you can drink any of our wines (a beer or a gin as well) in the shop. If you are hungry we will have a few small deli plates of jammon, tinned fish and of course our neighbour Dan’s fantastic sourdough. We have also brought together some essential wine gifts including Simon Drew’s ever amusing cards and some great kit from Vacu Vin. Present giving for a food or wine lover should be a breeze.

Finally we are part of the amazing independent Middle Street where coffee shops abound, art and curiosity shops are a plenty. We have the best pub too! Middle Street should be a must for any visitor to Brixham.
