Orb, Saint Chinian is a dry red with bright acidity that lifts and delineates the fruit very prettily. Perfumed, dark fruit with the warm smell of sweet baking spices.

We'd choose El Garbi Tinto✌️

With aromas of red fruit, perfumed, with a sprinkle of spice from the oak. ⁠It pairs perfectly with lighter red meats or served slightly chilled with chicken and veal.⁠⁠

The wine is produced from the little known Terra Alta region, the most southern D.O. In Catalonia. It's named after the Arab wind that blows through the vineyard and plays a vital role in ventilating the canopy🇪🇸

The Chablis of the south!💥

Grown within metres of where we source Picpoul, we couldn't resist making a wine using the closely related Terret.

One of the Languedoc's oldest varieties, it's known for it's ability to hold onto its high acidity in the heat of a Mediterranean summer.☀️

Tête-à-Tête is refreshing and lively, with lemon, apple and subtle pineapple aromas on the nose. This pale-coloured wine has naturally high acidity, balanced with fat and volume. It's complex, a wine that sparks conversation!

Serve it with fresh seafood, sushi, tapas, goats' cheese or fragrant Asian cuisine😋🦐

After recently securing an IWC award, Département 69 Fleurie has been flying off the shelves💪

A unique, delicate and elegant red wine with plenty of ripe berry fruits for company. It's perfect on its own or paired with cold cuts but has enough weight to accompany grilled red meats...🥩

A period of ageing in some of the most excellent barrels was not done to add any obvious flavour or aroma but to add silkiness of texture. Delicious!

To decant or not to decant?...🤔👀

There are no hard and fast rules, but one reason to decant is to aerate the wine or help it ‘breathe’. This really helps to open up the bouquet.

Our top tips:

⏲️ The younger the wine, the earlier it can be decanted!

🍷 Young red fine wines usually benefit from being decanted an hour before serving, sometimes longer...

😱 You don't need a decanter to decant, pour the wine into any vessel then back into the bottle.

🙌 Screwcap wines often need more aeration than cork-closed bottles.
