Each year on the third Thursday of November, Beaujolais Nouveau Day celebrates the arrival of the vintages first wines, fresh from the fermentation tanks. After its 1980’s heyday, its popularity faded, but over the past few years Bojo Nuvo has shed its slightly naff reputation to become, arguably, the most fun event on the wine calendar

As part of our Beaujolais Nouveau party on Thursday we’re serving up portions of a whole ham cooked in hay. Wash it down with your Beaujolais if your joining the party, or grab some on the go if you’re collecting your bottles for later 🐷🍷

The Alkemi rosé from Greek wine maker Markos Markovitis is antithesis of wishy washy, pale, Provence style pinks. Made from the indigenous variety Xinomavro, grown in the north of Greece, that is usually made into Barolo-esque red wines. This rosé wine is full on, structured and spicy, giving notes of pink grapefruit, macerated strawberry and Mediterranean herbs.
