Domaine de Saint Pierre is a small but highly regarded estate in the Jura region of France, near Arbois. The vineyard spans about 6 hectares, with vines rooted in limestone and marl soils, ideal for the region’s signature grape varieties. Originally managed by Fabrice Dodane, the estate has become well known for its organic and minimal-intervention approach to winemaking.

We’ve got a tiny amount of their reds available for sale on the website or instore.

It's rhubarb season.

has been making an array of dishes over the last couple of weeks with Yorkshires finest.

This week is cooked cream with shortbread and pickled with mackerel. Last week was pavlova on mass from our private party pre-order list (email if interested)

It's a national favourite that is truly worth its weight.

For now...

As already stated, all good things come to an end. In the case of rhubarb, there's only a week or two.

A man of the sea and the soil...

The archaic may argue against the new world, denying its ability to produce fine wine. Disregarding them as inferior to its ancestral titans. But most of these people have never tasted (or maby refuse) to the trial new world and its offerings.

When they open their eyes and come to their senses, send them seeking this man. Ex surfer turned revered winemaker, Duncan Savage.

Trained in pouilly-Fumé and the art of Sauvignon Blanc by legendary maker, Didier Dagueneau. Savage honed his skills and began working for Cape Point, until 2016 when he decided to go solo and founded Savage wines.

The wines may be savage by name, but don't be fooled. He's a rising star that thinks outside the box, while simultaneously creating some of the new worlds most acclaimed wines.

For a wine to pair with spicy food such as Thai, you need to mindful that heat and high alcohol don’t go well together, likewise, a little bit of sweetness in the wine will help to temper the heat. A perfect match would be this low abv, off-dry Mosel Riesling from Louis Guntrum

On monday, team cave left small town Bristol and made a pilgrimage to the big smoke.

What for? Exactly what you'd imagine it to be.

Wine was drunk, hands were shook, the occasional tasting note was made. Thanks to and their Along The Rhône tasting, we met some of the regions greatest makers.

Gonnon, Ferrand, Gilles, Charvin, Gripa, the list goes on....

We already have a substantial selection of Rhône wines in the shop. But we've got a feeling there may be some new additions soon.

Come ask whats new.

Yann Durieux is a renowned Burgundian winemaker known for his natural, terroir-driven approach. After spending a decade at Domaine Prieuré-Roch, where he honed his craft, he founded Recrue des Sens in 2010 in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. Committed to organic and biodynamic farming, he produces wines with minimal intervention, avoiding additives like sulfur to let the vineyard’s character shine through.

Chateau De Bonnezeaux....

One of Frances greatest redemption storys. Rags to riches. The myth, the legend. The comeback of all comebacks.

A winery forgotten for decades becomes one of the Loire valleys most legendary.

Set in the Bonnezeaux aoc of Anjou, the 19th century chateau was once renowned for its sweet wines. But where did the wines go???

In the 1980s, the winery was abandoned and the vineyards fell to ruins. In 2012 a student of dry Chenin, Guyone Saclier De La Bâtie, stood to the mark and successfully revived 3ha of the chateau's original Chenin vines.

Alongside winemaker Pierre Boisseau (and his low intervention approaches) 2016 marked their first release with the wines immediately gaining cult status.

Drink in or takeaway.

The bistro staple...

Found on the menu of nearly every restaurant that belongs to our French speaking freinds across the channel.

A dish that echoes through space and has existed longer than time itself. Or at least that's what it feels like.

Copious amounts of steak tartare prepped by for our gamay and tartare event last night.

This one was a blast. We weren't sure how a deep dive into gamay would be received by the british public. The answer was a resounding success.

We love a curveball tasting here at Cave, so if your interested in getting involved, take a look at our website. Many tastings to come. Many tickets to be bought.
