Something very special is happening at St Michael’s Trading Estate this weekend 💥

and invite you on a journey into the Dorset landscape with light, sound and organic media.

The second installation of ‘Harmonic Fields’ is happening right next to our shop and bar, so naturally a delicious collaboration had to happen. We will be serving fine wine, real ale 🍺 mulled wine and mince pies all evening on both nights.

The fires will be lit 🔥 for an unforgettable weekend.

Well! What a good time had by all.
For those of you who don’t know, we have opened a wine bar 🍷 💥
Although, it’s worked as a market, tasting room and nearly a Forge! We battled the wind with lashings of fine wine and merriment.

This December 🎄

5th Dec - Our Festive Tasting is back for a second year! Pop in and sample dozens of wines and gather inspiration for the Christmas season. 6-9pm in the wine shop and our new space next door.

6th Dec - our friend will be setting up his forge for an evening of Iron & Wine. Swing by for demonstration and libations. The bar will be serving mulled wine, as well as wines, beer and cider by the glass.

7th Dec - we’ll be setting up a mini market with artisan gifts and Christmas bits, lead by our Head of Christmas Spirit The bar will be mulling and pouring.

The shop will be open 6 days a week throughout December, with new bar space open Fridays and Saturdays.

WINE TASTING - CHANGE OF LOCATION
Slight change in plans - our Festive Wine Tasting next Thursday will now be held at the shop and in our new space next door. 6-9pm. Same terrific offering, more convenient location! Tell all your friends. Tickets available online, in the shop at on the door. It’s a wonderful way to sample Christmas options for enjoying this Yuletide. Come, sip and be merry!

Introducing some beauties from the Côtes du Jura.
Smack bang between Geneva and Dijon, the Jura offers some of the most interesting and complex wines in France.
Patrick Ligeron of .des.carlines organically farms eleven pristine hectares, producing wines with crystal clear purity. All the while maintaining the authentic character of the region.

These beautiful wines are the perfect thing for the changing season 🍂 and those earthy autumn flavours.

Good luck to all those hard working wine makers and growers who have, are or will be harvesting this season. Fairly challenging to say the least. A cold spring got things off to a slow start and lower than average temperatures have kept things slow. Let’s hope for a good spell of Autumn sunshine to ripen off the last of the berries! 🍇

You don’t make friends with salad. A steak sandwich is the way to our hearts. Our friends are popping up this Friday 12th July with a menu of bavette steak sandwiches cooked over fire from around the world, with wines to match:
Italian - on focaccia, with roasted peppers
Argentinian - with chimichurri and pickled chillies
French - with onions, tarragon and confit garlic mayo

Stop by from 1pm for lunch, dinner or in-betweensies. We’re crossing our fingers for sunshine. 🤞

B E E R. New fridge, new stock. With a growing selection of imported beers and English ales, we now have some options to cover all the bases. 🍇 🍺
There’s wine in the fridge too, just in case you left it too late to chill before drinking. Phew.

- Big Salt’s kid sister, an Orange Rosé with attitude.
- A trio of Colleformica 🐜, heavy hitters - without a doubt some of the most delicious Italian wines we’ve tasted this year.
- the latest vintage of Chardonnay from Domaine de Cognettes, precise and refined, but with a natural edge.
- Vé - a whisper dry rosé from the Camargue 🦩
