Our new local causes for 2024-2025 have landed, you can sign in to your account online (membership.coop.co.uk/causes) or on the app to find out more.

At Co-op we put our profits where they belong, back into local communities. As a Co-op Member and owner, you get to choose a cause that's close to your heart, and they'll get a share of our Local Community Fund.

You can choose a cause any time until October. After that, we'll share out the fund between all our local causes. The total amount each cause gets depends on how many members have chosen them.

For Brae Co-op members, the following causes successfully applied and are part of this year's fund.

(1) Walls Public Hall - (2) East Yell Public Hall - (3) 1st Aith Brownies

Pick one of these causes, you and your chosen cause could benefit from a prize draw which would see £500 for you to spend in the Co-op and £5,000 in support towards their goals.

Carpark is reopened at the store.

Brae Co-op Carpark to close for resurfacing work on 20th August 2024. (weather permitting).

We apologise for the lack of advanced notice and for any inconvenience caused, we expect the carpark to reopen the next morning.

Limited parking will be available in the small car park adjacent to ours, at the nearby garages with our thanks to the owner.

ℹ️ IMPORTANT CHANGE TO CO-OP MEMBERSHIP ℹ️

Most members will receive an email today like the one below.

In a nutshell, our Co-op membership card is changing to focus more on member prices in the aisles as a benefit rather than earning rewards to spend later, as our membership proposition is changing to give it the most positive impact to members it can by offering more immediate discounts on everyday shops.

Members with existing rewards pots will have until December 31, 2024 to either spend their rewards with The Co-op or chose to donate them to local causes.

Our store colleagues in Brae will be making it a point to ask anyone with reward balances showing on their cards from 24th January if they wish to use them towards that days shopping to ensure all balances are spent.

Any customer can join the Co-op membership scheme by purchasing a temporary card for £1 at our checkouts and following the instructions to register. Every week permanent members choose weekly rewards on the Co-op app to save even more money and can scan a digital members cards to save looking for it in wallets and purses.
