FoodSavers Network The FoodSavers network aims to reduce dependency on foodbanks and free food provision

Save money on your weekly shop
Save food from going to landfill
Save in a recognised Credit Union scheme

FoodSavers offers high quality fresh and store cupboard food for a low weekly membership fee (typically £6), at locations across Bradford. Much of our food is unwanted or surplus food, intercepted from being wasted. Membership also gives you the opportunity to attend cookery classes, save in a recognised Credit Union scheme, and enjoy other benefits, dependent on location.

We're thrilled to partner with the wonderful Acts 435, helping us to support customers at FoodSavers outlets who need a bit of extra support with an urgent need, but aren't in a place financially where they can meet that need. Every penny you donate goes directly to help the recipients, and those donations have changed countless lives. Could you change another life this Christmas? The latest round of Pears Youth Fund invested £180,000 in 9 community organisations in Leeds and Bradford. The Fund is a partnership with Pears Foundation, and supports organisations to deliver youth work and promote youth voice, youth empowerment and youth activities.

The funded activities include:

⭐ Delivering a project that uses skills in radio and other arts to create dialogue with teenage peers from international community radio stations & arts centres, and asylum seekers living in the local community.

⭐ Growing an adventure programme that supports 12–13-year-olds to break down the barriers they face, transform their perceptions of themselves and learn skills for life.

⭐ Delivering a project which enables young people aged 11-16 to improve their mental health, build life skills for the future and become vocal and active members of the local community.

These activities follow many funded through Pears Youth Fund since it first opened in 2017. To-date, the Fund has awarded 84 grants and almost £800,000. So far, nearly 9,000 young people have taken part in activities funded by the programme.

We're continually thankful for our donors, both new and regular, who support individuals through our website.

In October you helped to support 496 individuals with an incredible £81,475.

Thank you from us, and those you were able to help, such as Lana, who needed help with an electricity bill debt:

"Times are tough but there is help out there. I will always be grateful for the support received. When I am able I will support others in need."

Our Story

The Storehouse Café serves delicious and healthy meals on a pay-as-you-feel basis. All of our food is ‘surplus’ food, rescued from being thrown away just because it is surplus to somebody’s requirements, but always high quality and in perfect condition. We also support community organisations across Bradford with fresh food and meals. The Storehouse Café is a project of Inn Churches, a registered company limited by guarantee #8242641 and a registered charity #1149792.
