Today marks the 80th Anniversary of the Allied Invasion of France. “D- Day”.

Yesterday, I was speaking to a man at the bus stop standing in his uniform. He was part of the RAF and today is playing the piano in Felpham to mark the occasion. ❤️

Today we are marking the occasion too with a flag.

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our colleague and friend, Carol, after a short illness.

Carol was a highly valued member of the Bubbles Team, serving Bognor for over 20 years, and a childhood friend of Pauline from their time at school in Arundel.

Owing to this sad news, Bubbles will be closing its doors for the day, on Friday 29th September, to enable the Bubbles family and staff to attend her funeral. Our thoughts are very much with her family and her friends at this very sad time.

We would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone who came to support our England/Wales charity day celebrations on Tuesday, we have raised well over £500 for Chestnut Tree House childrens hospice!

Special thanks to all our staff who all mucked in, it was such a fun event! The cake stall raised £165, with Tony singing the Welsh National Anthem 14 times😂 ‘Guess the score sweepstake’ raised £240, congratulations to all the winners who got 3-0 England! We also still have two pots to be counted by Chestnut Tree which will take us well over £500!

Very special thanks must go to Fay, our Welsh lady in national costume, thank you so much!!
Also Reynolds, Lloyds bank, Taylor Rose Solicitors, Fox and Sons, Ladbrokes, Haygates Bookshop and more were all terrific in their support of this community event!

We are truly stunned by the response and thankful for the generosity of the Bognor public - thank you all so much!

Bubbles is delighted to welcome two new members of staff to our shop, both Claire (who worked for us for a summer back in 1996!) and Ellie, who becomes our youngest member of staff following the departure of my son, Joshua, who left for a new job earlier this year!

We are currently looking for a confident and enthusiastic person to join our team at Bubbles Bargain World on a part time basis.

Hours include Sunday (10-4) as well as some hours during the week, with extra hours available when holidays need covering.

Basic requirements for the role include:
A positive, outgoing attitude
Ability to climb up and down ladders in the shop
Confidence in a customer facing role

Today is a very special day for Bubbles - it’s our 26th anniversary! We would have celebrated our 25th but we were in lockdown…

Look out for our special leaflet in the shop over the next few days retelling lots of funny stories that have happened in Bubbles + businesses our family has had before, all of which helped to create Bubbles as it is known today🙌🏻

There may also be some cakes making an appearance too as we approach the weekend so make sure to pop in and celebrate with us🎂

In just one week, our lovely customers have raised £105 for the Daily Mail Ukraine Appeal, and with the £100 raised since mid December with the general “penny pot”, we are sending a total of £205 up to the Appeal Fund this week!

We are continuing with the effort and people are still able to donate what they can in the charity pot for this country/people in need. A big thank-you to all who have donated so far! 🇺🇦💛
