Good morning,

Just a quick update, we are open today but due to staff sickness the post office will be closing at 2.45pm as we have no one to cover the post office after this time. The shop side will stay open until 5pm so if you have a parcel you need to collect then please come to the shop side and we can give you, your local collects.

Good morning to our lovely customers,

Unfortunately we will not be opening today due to staff sickness, the shop will be open until 9am but then we will be shutting for the day. We are sorry for any inconvenience. We are hoping to be back open tomorrow as usual.

Hi lovely people,
Just wanted to pop on here and give everyone an update on John's knee op, all went well and he is now relaxing in the hospital taking a much needed break, hopefully he will make a speedy recovery and will be back to work very soon. Thank you to everyone who showed concern for John and wished him well, it's very much appreciated.

Hi to all that get papers delivered, unfortunately we have a huge amount of paper boys/girls off due to holidays/sickness. We are trying our absolute hardest to get your papers to you with the lack of paper boys/girls please be kind and bare with us. 😁😵‍💫 Hopefully it will only be this week that we struggle with getting papers out on time or at all, as all kids go back to school next week 😁

So just to make everyone aware we are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm. Wednesday and Saturday we are open from 8am until 1pm we don't close for lunches. 😁 Please spread the word to the people who don't follow the page. Many thanks, us at Peter's news and post.

🚫🗞️ NEWSPAPER UPDATE 🗞️🚫

Thankfully, it's been a while since we've had any issues with our papers but unfortunately today, we won't be receiving our paper order. Therefore, there will be no paper deliveries or any in store.

We're very sorry for the inconvenience and hope this issue will be resolved quickly.

Just a friendly reminder about our festive opening hours and delivery schedule as Christmas approaches:

CHRISTMAS EVE: Open until 12pm for all your last-minute gift wrapping essentials, festive treats, and stocking stuffers (SHOP ONLY).

CHRISTMAS DAY & BOXING DAY: We'll be taking a well-deserved break to celebrate with our loved ones, so our doors will be closed and paper deliveries cancelled.

27TH - 31ST: Back in action! We'll open as usual to help you kick off the post-Christmas fun.

NEW YEAR'S DAY: Our doors will be closed once again and all paper deliveries will be cancelled.

We appreciate your understanding and wish you a very Merry Christmas filled with joy, laughter, and delicious food! ✨
