Hi,
Unfortunately the lottery terminal broken so obviously we will not be able to issue online tickets or pay any prizes.
Scratch cards may still be bought though.
Engineer is due on Monday to fix/replace the terminal.

Hi
We have a couple of hundred of various bread rolls in the shop today, from wholemeal large white, granary, cheese topped etc dated the 7th July but good to freeze.
All free of charge ( max 5 per customer)

Sorry but unfortunately the Post Office will be closing slightly earlier today at 4.30pm.
This will not affect the Royal Mail collection from the office at 4.45.

The shop will be closing at 4.15 today and hopefully reopening at approximately 5.00 this is due to the electricity meter being renewed and the supply having to be switched off.

We have installed a temporary debit/ credit card reader and are now able to process card/ Apple Pay transactions.

Hi everyone
Unfortunately our debit/ credit card machine is broken and a new one is on order.
I have unbelievably been told it can take between one and five days for a replacement, even though we only have the one terminal.
Therefore we will be only able to take cash which will be available in the Post office from 6.00am until closing at 8.00 pm.
Most high street banks and building societies cards are accepted ( debit cards only and physical card must be used) not unfortunately Monzo though
Hopefully it won’t be the full 5 days and we will post here when we are able to accept card payments again.

Sorry once again we have received no Newspapers this morning and do not expect them in until after 10.00am,we will notify here when they do arrive.
Smiths News are the worst company I have to deal with, but they have the monopoly and I have no choice of changing suppliers.
Sorry for the inconvenience but it is out of our hands.

Please be aware there is a large pot hole/sunken drain at the top of the hill coming into Falfield, my wife and children have all hit it and say it is huge,a car yesterday and again today have pulled into the shop car park with blown tyres to change and one had a fractured alloy.

Unfortunately the Post Office has had to close again, we had an intermittent service which kept crashing and now nothing.
Engineer still not arrived despite many attempts of asking.
Hopefully this post will stop wasted journeys, nearest offices are Charfield, Thornbury or Berkeley.

Anyone got any spare sticky tape to hold this Horizon computer system together?

Hi,
Unfortunately the Post Office is still out of action.
The fault was reported early yesterday and an engineer was due to call but has yet to arrive and we have no expected time for the issue to be resolved.
We will post here when the office is able to reopen.
We are after all talking about the Post Office.
